You will find people that still do use cartridges and remain very happy with them. I used them for my first 6 months and had no problems using them. I did start using cartos when driving or out and about after vaping about 2 months but I continued to use cartridges whenever I was home. About 6 months after I started I finally decided to give dripping a try have dripped ever since but I was a happy content vaporer for all the months I did use carts.

I used carts (and did not mod them) for the first 6 months I vaped. I was very happy with them, even though you do have to top them off a lot (but I think you have to top off cartos too) for the past 4 months I have used this clear "tank cart" (on a regular 510 atty) and I am a happy girl. I also liked the black 2 piece smart carts, but the black part broke a lot and you had to use a needle to fill.

i am a fan of tank cartridge..no leak no problem if U follow the refill & maintenance properly(use a syringe to fill without taking off the cap after it has been pierced)..hold 1/2ml to 2 ml depending on what unit u use on ego or 510 atties..i still like the 510-T LR atty with 1/2 ml or .8 ml cartridge on my LCD Ego with cone cover..900 mAh last 400 puff and 1/2 ml (80-100 puffs)..i use upto 3 1/2 ml daily with 4 diff flavors 70PG/30VG mixtures..happy vaping every1..regards mafig

I don't get why they put carts in kits to begin with. I save them for an unknown reason. Have you ever wondered why they don't put everything you need in the kits? Cripes. Make a kit with everything instead of making a noob run all over hell and half of Georgia to get their first supplies then waiting on VapeMail from 5 different places.

Cartridges are useful for people who live in countries where they can't easily get cartomizers or for people who can't afford them or don't know about them. And people with auto batteries can't drip. And people with mystery NAME model is may not have the option of cartomizers (or dripping if it's auto which is what most glitzy overpriced or mystery NAME models are).

I have not had great luck with cartos. Seems like the vapor volume isn't there, at least compared to dripping or atty/cartridge.

Cartomizers are great for starting out, when you don't know what flavors you are going to like.

I'm eying the fluxomisers--they look convenient, but do they throw good vapor volume? Do they work well with high VG levels?

I prefer to use carts, those without the filler material, for a mixture of reasons. Firstly, i like to switch flavors regularly throughout the day. A driptip will do the job too but it isn't convenient when you are outside. Carts are small and easy enough to carry around in your pocket.

Carts+atty combination is cost efficient too as they last way much longer than cartos. Cleaning of carts, needless to say, is zero effort.

Flavor wise, i feel that it is slightly better comparing to cartos. But this is subjective as the battery voltage, atty/carto resistance, taste bud and vaping technique will affect the overall experience.

I'm using those 510-t type carts+atty to compare. The other kind with polyfill material at the bottom to match the metal mesh bridge atties are too much of a hassle to me. Provided you don't mind doing the tea bag or blue foam mod.

The OP was asking about cartridges (the open-ended plastic and stuffing things that push onto an atomizer)

Re fluxomizers - Most cartos do not work well with high VG levels. If you thin the juice with up to 10% distilled water it might work or they will give burning tastes if you vape faster than the wicks can bring juice to the coil.

I used carts for 3 months and had absolutely no issues with them. I was happy with them. I changed to cartomizers because I needed to use atomizers with carts, and the atomizers had too short a life for me. I'd go through one in about 2 weeks or less, at about $10 a pop. Now I use cartomizers and one has lasted me a month and still going strong (at a cost of about $1.60). So... carts are fine, atomizers (specifically proprietary eGo-T attys) were the problem. Just my experience at least.

Heyas Arctherus,

I found the prefilled carts that came with my first pos kit that I bought locally to be a good into to vaping. Other than that, I find the blank carts that come with kits, along with the completely empty carts that often come with new atties to be excellent disposable mouthpieces for when I let someone else try my pv.

carts are also good for people like me who don't like cartos (crazy, I know!) I never could get the hang of filling cartos. :p

I noticed on my eGo starter kit that, although it included carts, the instructions actually gave me the steps to drip. I agree with Boodle's comment that starter kits are really anything but. If you knew nothing and just got a starter kit, it might last you a day of vaping. Kits should come with 30ML of juice at a minimum.

I have tried cartos, but I change juice so often that catridges are the the only things I use. I have yet to kill an atty from use (tried to clean one up with a paper clip, and fried it, but otherwise, they all still work fine for me). I really like the carts I got from kingpin ecigs. they have a plastic "holder" inside for the liquid, and I never get a mouth full of liquid with them. Yes, I top off a lot, but that's ok with me. I am also trying the clear tank cart from them, but haven't played with it much since I just got them. The people I have helped to switch say they never would have used the e-cig if they had started with cartos, I guess it makes them cough too much. I like that I am not constantly buying cartos, and I wash out my attys and carts and reuse. Since I haven't found my all day vape, carts are perfect for me.

Never liked carts. Just threw them away after realizing I was getting all that I was going to out of them...and it wasn't doing the trick. Dripped for about a year. Got super tired of that. Really digging these G5's at the moment. Great hits(with no filler, which filler doesn't bother me. Just know some folks don't like it)and awesome flavor. They last a good while to, but you have to be careful with them. Especially in your pocket lol.

Whatever works! But still, try and keep it simple. Fiddling around with things gets super old as time goes on.
