Basically it's a circuit board with three SMT diodes on it...not complex at all.

thanx, just found it, crazy...makes ya think twice, but the key is keeping pairs and checking them with a meter a lot. You would think they would come out with a protected cr2. The excell lifepo4 200mah cr2 are crap.

Yea i wont use 6v for this reason. I actually enjoy my 3.7v. and the days I want lots of vapor I just use my 510 with my Cr123 3.7v. for some reason I get better vapor for a longer time with these batteries. But I think they will make a single 6v battery that is protected just for these mods.
I have been using the Tenergy 750s for some time now without troubles at all in fact they are pretty good batts. I have heard not so good things about using two PCBs in tandem. They have a tendency to cut out quickly. Also the LifePo4 battery can be charged many times more than the regular Li-ions. It is the chemistry that offers the protection. I think you will find that the LifePos do not have a PCB on them.
Poor Michelle. I am married to a crazy man too. I feel your pain. If my hubby wasn't so sweet he would be hard to put up with.
I kinda got behind adding new products to the site...still have a few boxes of new stuff that isn't there. But, the LiFePo4's are online now.
Just remember to use the "correct" 3.0 volt charger for the LifePO4 batteries, do NOT charge them on a 3.7 volt charger, which is the more COMMON type of charger out there. Rob makes note of this on his site.
Good point, In FACT, Rob has a pretty sick charger that allows you to charge RCR123a 3.0volt and 3.7volt on the same charger, has a switch to switch between voltages. So if ya have some 3.0volt cr123a's and some 3.7volt cr123a's this may be a good option for you!!

It isn't "recommended" but I do charge mine in both the Tenergy 3.0v charger and the UltraFire 3.0v/3.7v charger (in 3.0v mode of course) and haven't had any issues. The chargers made for the LiFePo4's ARE slightly different so use alternates at your own risk.
