I have had a Genesis literally on the shelf since for months. Just been happy dripping for almost a year now, so I didn't do anymore than lurk on the topic. I think I tried cotton when I got it and it didn't wick worth a poop.Figured I try silica next.

Today I tried to put it together, and I thought I did so, until the silica wick ignited and made a nice little Bic size flame for about 2 or 3 seconds.

And yes, I know, this device is made for mesh and a plethora of other wicking materials.

Of which I will probably now implement. I've just been averse to the mesh for some reason. I saw somebody on youtube with a working silica wick in the Gen/DID/Vulcan.

Just thought this was weird and a little funny. Figured I'd post here and see if anyone else has had such an occurrence.

D: how did you manage dude? what ohm were you at? Jeez man this isn't good publicity for us considering we're up for regs by the govxrnment in october. Im sure it wont happen again and it was probably just a bad combination of problems but shish Luis man? How did you manage to ignite your juice with a noncombustion heated coil? :p Are you using alcohol in your juice?
