I've been fighting some juice starvation issues on my RSST lately... I can't take too long a drag before the vapor peters off and things get pretty nasty. I've been trying to come up with ways to increase wicking. I pulled a wrap of mesh off and that seems to have made an improvement, but it still can sustain a relatively long fire.
I've seen plenty of builds where they use things like a ekowool sleeve on mesh or SS rope, but has anyone tried a silica core to the mesh? Maybe a 1mm or even a 2mm (the wick I have runs small)... either wrap the mesh around the wick or try to thread it through after the fact... then maybe leave a little bit of a tail that snakes into the tank? I guess it could go either way... The silica could be parasitic, drawing juice out of the mesh, making things worse, or it could boost wicking a bit, giving the mesh a little bit of juice in reserve.
