For me it is working fine - no clogged cartos or issues with thickness I was expecting - it has a subtle taste to me even though it is unflavored. I guess this is the just the natural flavor of VG but I am not sure. I am not qualified to speak to the effect WTA has to kill the urge to smoke though. I smoked cigarettes back (way back) in High School and off an on for some years after, but when I got married and had kids I no longer could (or wanted to) smoke in the house so the habit died of natural causes many years ago.How is it working for you? I hope it is is helping. For me it does the trick but not as fast as a cig. I remember you offering to send 1 to Kenny.
I enjoy a cigar and pipe, and even the occasional social cigarette if I am out with a friend who smokes, but it isn't an every day or even an every week thing for me. When a relative let me try his e-cig (he had a Blu and a no name 510 type retail item) I thought they were neat. I picked one (Blu) up since I could vape the car and at home without any complaints but never used it enough to get through the five pack of cartridges.
Then I found this site and discovered vaping is similar to another passion of mine - coffee. Here is my loose analogy:
The Blue is the instant coffee of the e-cig world.
Chinese flavors are the Folgers of the e-cig world.
Boutique vendors (like WholeCig and some other favorites) are like the Counter Culture, Stumptown, and Intelligentsia of the coffee world. These vendors are on the cutting edge of their craft and provide most improvements in product quality in their fields of expertise.
Comparing gas station equipment to a decent VV/VW mod is like comparing a Mr Coffee brewer (inefficient but works on a base level) compared to a brewer like a Technivorm that offers precise temp control and even flavor regulation but is pricey relative to the Mr Coffee. You get what you pay for.
Prepping flavors through steeping or selecting the PG/VG ratio or type of atomizer based on the demands of the flavor is like grinding coffee beans at home vs buying pre-ground - the experience will be better for the effort.
Another coffee hobby similarity matches up with the DIY/modder community - I have been roasting my own coffee for a while and now I am beginning experimenting with mixing e-liquids. Like roasting, the early attempts are not much to write home about but learning the process is half the fun!
