Why am I getting a sore throat?

I went from using the Johnson Creek e-juice to using Vapors CHoice (cotton Candy & 555) and now I am getting a sore throat. Never happened with Johnson Creeks whats up with that?

Also I ordered an 801 pen style with the idea I could use the same atty as in my Janty V3 but the attys I ordered do not work..was I misinformed?

Loved the Tennesse Cured & Black Cherry form JC ...do you know of another supplier where I can get cheaper attys & similar juice to this?

Could be the PG mix or the nicotine strength. You will probably have to experiment to find out. also if you are a new vaper I had a sore throat for the first week or so.

I think this happens a lot.
Like the "novel food syndrome" described in psychology class.

You eat something you rarely eat, or have never eaten before...
If you get sick, then you blame the food you ate.
Maybe you have a virus, but the novel food gets the blame.

If i vape jc to much my throat gets a little raw i guess different juice has different effects on different people can't think of anything different

Nicotine comes in different purities. If you haven't experienced the dry, sore throat yet then this is normal. I do believe all 3 month or more vapers have been through this. Drink lots of water to help you get past this phase.
Now, it could be something that is going around. Geeker is right that as we go from cigarettes to vaping, we seem to want to associate any illness with vaping. It is a normal reaction to do so.
Coffee, sodas and the like will make this worse. More water and use lip balm.
Hang in there and keep up the good work of letting go of the cigarettes.
I found myself without a working battery today and I did not get anxious like I would have if it were cigarettes. I knew my atties were at home waiting for me.
It was a completely different experience from not having a cigarette available. Impressed with myself and my reaction, if I may say so myself----GO ME! Good Luck.

Personelly, I do find that VG irrates my throat and can make me cough sometimes. I even tried 90%PG/10%VG mix but it's a no go, it seems like my body doesn't like the VG vapor..

JC says they're all VG, so does Vapors Choice, unless the Dekang selection is otherwise.. but it sounds like you got some PG somewhere. Or the nicotine is either different or a higher strength, otherwise it's fairly normal and should go away about as quickly as it came on. If not, it may not be related to vaping.

As far as cheaper atomizers, the cheapest way is from china, but it's best to do that in bulk since the orders can take quite awhile to reach you, and can also get held up in customs and even sent back.

I don't know about the V3, maybe someone can enlighten you to that problem since it only says it has adapters for the 510 and 901.

I'm the opposite, PG makes me wheeze and cough stuff up, so Im VG all the way now

Welcome and for me the opposite....PG seemed too harsh for me, even though the flavor was better...I use VG mostly...and very little problems, not counting tons of vapor....Again, to each their own....as long as it works....Enjoy...

Id say it's the Nic level, I notice a significant increase in TH and 'irritation' from 30mg vs. 18mg juice...

Just checking,,,,XRayMan did state 30 mg? Damm...that is high....At least for me....One and one half a pack person before vaping,,,now....12-16 mg,,,,but yes "Marb Lights"...I am totally happy with my vaping...and will never go back to those analogs...Enjoy...

Thanks for all the responses to my post. The nic level is the same on both 18mg. I went back to Johnson Creek and my throat is better. So I guess I just have to avoid the e-juice from that company. Kind of a bummer..they have such great service and very quick ship.

I've only been vaping 4 days and i can definitely tell the difference between my PG and VG liquids. PG seems to make my mouth and throat very dry. Only smoked PG for the first time yesterday and had a TINY sore throat this morning. There's def something to PG sensitivity.
