When i first started e smoking 3 weeks ago, i started with cartridges (eeeuuuuu) then i went to direct dripping onto a 510 atty (liquid down the sides blah blah OH then the lovely e liquid in your mouth... lovely, acid reflux anyone?) then i moved to poly fill cartomizers (not too shabby. it certainly doesn't last half the day. they get nassssty after a week though) and then there was the E2 v4 Royalsmoker ceramic cartomizers (Who likes burnt plastic in here? anyone? no one ? hello? by the way, if you got a few laying around, you can use them to direct drip, it does work. don't toss them)

Then i bought my first mod the other day, got myself an Omega. I also decided to spend the extra coin and get a few LR 306 atty's. with the special from vaporflow, they come with a few drip tips for them. K, can someone explain why exactly when i drip tip out of this not only does it not leak down the sides (3-4 drops and there is ZERO leakage) and i can hold it SIDEWAYS and still get ZERO juice in my mouth.

What's the reasoning behind this? why all the change in this? is it how it's made? is there a standard 510 atty and specific drip tip that stops this aswell? cause i can't use this on 6v's and i need something similar to it.

Any answers would be welcome. That said, the Cisco lr 306's are fantastic. Anyone who has these complains i've had can rest assure these are incredibly awesome atty's. Keep them wet though!!

Welcome to the Cisco fan club. I love these things!!!! Not sure about the liquid issue but I do know if you like the 306's try a Cisco LR510 also. Vapes a little cooler than the 306 and is nice for some of the more delicate flavors

How ironic i literally just replied to your comment on scott's "crap box" video.

I actually love the Lr 306 and have ZERO interest if another LR atty. My question though is, is there a atty with the same qualities as this one that i can use on 6v?

I'm getting my 6v batteries tommorow so i'd like to experience the same awesome dripping as this one.

If you like the 306 attys and want to use them at 6v, go to Welcome to IkenVape Isaac sells the 306 in 3.5ohm, which should be really nice on your omega at 6v. The regular generic 306 meter at around 3.0 ohms, which might be a little hot at 6v, but doable.

Good call I was looking at placing an order for these 306's today in preperation for the ProVari. I have not used an Ikenvape atty yet but anyone who has swears by them.

I just got my HV306 from Ikenvape for my Omega at 6v. It's pretty damn good. It's not easy to flood these things and they produce excellent vapor and flavor.

My concern with HV atty's is they defeat the purpose of going to a higher voltage, no?

I've never tried 6v but i've done a huge amount of research. If i go 6v with an HV atty it's essential no difference then a reg vaping experience.

If i'm wrong, tell me. I'd love to know the differences.

As i'm told if you use a standard atty on a 6v mod setup, your literally getting a hot vapor PUSHED into your mouth almost and you have to reapply liquid to it ALOT and always keep it wet. Where as, if you go with an HV atty your not having those problems.

So i ask, what's the difference between a 6v with HV atty and a reg atty at say 3.7 or 4.3?

I am an avid cartomizer user and have never had any desire to drip. But all the hoopla about the 306 atty made me get one to try out. I bought a HV 306 from Ikenvape to use at 6v and it is by far the most fun I have had vaping so far. Lots of flavor and TH plus a ridiculous amount of vapor production makes these a blast to use.

A word of warning: When you first prime it with juice(6-8 drops I would say) you really need to let it sit for awhile(10 minutes or so) and let the wick absorb the juice or the wick will burn and you will have to remove it. This happened to me btw. I loaded mine up and took a big draw right away only to get a great lungful of burning wick taste, so please give them some soak time before using.

I'm loving me some 306's. I have a few LR 306 on the way so I can try them at 3.7v using high drain 14500 batteries in an Icon

FLAGREEKGUY: the biggest difference other than 6v vapor being much warmer is that you only need a 3 or 4 second draw at 6v to get more vapor/th than you possibly ever could at 3.7v in the same amount of time.

Although I bet a LR 306 with high drain 3.7v batteries may get pretty damn close. We will find out soon!

Here it is broken down for you:

3.7v and a 3 ohm atty gets you: 1.23 amps and 4.56 watts

6v and a 4.5 ohm atty gets you: 1.33 amps and 8 watts

See what happened there? Although the amperage stayed nearly the same you have almost doubled the wattage with 6v and a HV atty.

A 3.5 ohm atty (the lowest ohmed atty in the HV world) gives 6v a little mellowing, but much more than a 3.7v w regular reistance. If youve vaped on a 3.7 with an LR510 atty, put that on a good dose of steroids, and you have 6v with a 3.5ohm atty. Anything more than 3.5 ohms defeats the purpose though. They do sell 4.5 and 5.0 ohm attys, but thats for the 7.4v crowd, which still make sno sense to me what so ever.

It's because bigger is better. If the volts & resistance of a stock atty @ 3.7 = X watts (power draw), and if the power draw of a set-up using 6 volts & a higher resistance atty also = X watts, then in theory the 6v set-up will vape better because the atty (the coil & bridge part) has to be physically bigger. The same power draw but with a physically larger atty.

However you could probably arrange it so there is slightly more power draw, and this would give even more hit. Standard rigs come out at around 4 watts, which is at the low end of the scale, and you might find like many others that 6 watts or more works better for you. 6 watts is about where an eGo / Tornado with an LR atty is. Theoretically, 6 watts from something using more voltage, though, works better because the atty must be physically larger. Depends where your sweet spot is, for some it's low at 4 watts; some like 6; some like 8; megahit fans like 10 or more. That's hot, too hot for for some flavors probably.

Depends on the rig though, an 801 runs a lot cooler than a 510, so the effect of 8 watts through an 801 is different from 8w from a 510. Suits some flavors better than others, like fruits for example. Caramel/toffee needs medium power +, and chocolate needs a lot of power to come alive.

So it's kind of a match between your sweet spot, the model type, and the liquid used. To get it right, and to understand it, it helps a lot if you have a multimeter - then you can actually see what numbers you're getting and calculate the watts. That helps in identifying what's good/bad about any given set-up.

lol i've heard this before. anything over 6v seems a bit over kill. I was OK happy with 3.7 in my Ego but i def wanted a mod that could go to 6v. But, once i got my LR 306's i was in heaven. Going to 7.0 or 7.4 just seems ridiculous and a frekkin hazard to boot.

Sorrid - you are in for a real treat!!! I drive the Cisco LR 306's with 14500 AW's in the ProVape and it is heaven. They are nice on an eGo but they really shine when you hit them with a true 3.7 Volts. Enjoy!

You totally just answered all my questions. So, essentially a HV atty is SORTA like a mega atty at 3.7 (the difference in vape output and TH from a standard 510 atty to a mega atty) because i can add more eliquid and because of it's size it will probably burn more faster. Which, in turn means more vapor and of course because i'm using more eliquid at a time = more TH.

It also preserves the atty more i'm sure because it's always going to be more wet than a standard atty because i've applied so many drops to it already and it's more capable of withstanding such a voltage.

That said, i'll be honest i've never tried an 901 or an 801 so i may be missing something here. I just hear everyones atty sweet spot seems to be 510 so i fell inlove with it.

Also, i must say, i tried the LR 306 on a 5v pass through (to the wall) and it definately seems to burn hotter and faster than on my omega at 3.7 (durr of course it will) and i do seem to like it.

Would the 5v with the LR 306 be compareable to a 6v standard atty?

by the way, all this info was a tremendous help and i really appreciate it. I keep hearing from the pro's that people get so mixed into the voltage that they forget the really important thing which is the wattage. Which, essentially will tell your sweet spot overall not just the voltage.

Thanks again man.

Hellllllz to the nooooooo i've got one on my pass through and one on my omega and there is no way your getting either one of them LOL.

I'd drop a fool if they tried to gank one of my LR 306's. It's a whole new vaping experience. especially with the drip tip that comes with it. i'm amazed at no flooded and no e liquid in the mouth.

Damn i love that sound though liv. don't you? BSHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I love my Omega @6v but it's a bit on the large size to tote around so I decided to get an Icon as well to use when I'm out and about.

I think the AW IMR 14500's and the LR 306's are gonna be a perfect match like you say. I'll definitely post when everything gets here.

BSHHHHH..SNAP...BSHHHHHH...CRACKLE POP...BSHHHHHH....heaven!!!
