Why are my EVOD's and Vivi Nova's getting super hot and having hot batteries?

Well you are in Texas and it's almost summer - so everything is hot.

But really, like our resident Ocelot said let us know your setup, volts / ohms / chain vapor / shirt size / SS#*

*Please don't post your SS#

but be sure to include your banking information, Paypal account details, mother's maiden name, the name of your favorite teacher, the name of your first pet, the make of you first car, the name of you best friend and the answers to any other challenge questions that would impede access to your accounts.

try adjusting your center pin and clean the 510 connector.. if that doesn't do it you need new atomizer heads they are gunked up very badly.. when my twist warms up at the connector I automatically know the center pin is smashed down or its very dirty either atomizer head or 510 connection on atomizer and battery... you can wiggle the center pin back up with a very small screwdriver it works bests.

If everything on your ego is getting hot and it did not do it before Id say you have problems with your ego. 2.5 OHMs should not make your bat hot.
I would replace it if I were you. It might be a good time to look in to getting that mod youve been eyeballing. A shorted battery can reach 200 degrees very quickly. A thermal battery can reach 1000+ degrees in a manner of seconds. Its not worth the risk. You can nutralize the battery by soaking it in salt water then despose of it at a battery recycling place like the bin at best buy

See the worst part is, is that they are only like a week old! I just got my kit in last Saturday.

Yeah, that sucks. But....gee....using a battery at a week old that goes thermal isn't much worse than having it be 6 months old and it goes thermal. Thermal = bad regardless.

Change the head out. Clean and check the connections (all of em, battery side and all nova ones too) for shorts. Test the ohms. Get a multimeter. Learn to use it for basic stuff. It will help you a lot.

Is it hot or just warm? Chain vaping at high voltage will make everything get warm. If the warmest spot is the base of the clearomizer, that heat is being conducted through the top of the battery and making it warm as well.

If spots on the battery are warmest or the whole unit is the same temperature, I'd recommend you try a new battery. You may have an internal short. If you only got it a week ago, you may be able to get a free replacement.
