Never ever seen a liquid turn Black.

I would not use it, but I would contact whoever you received it from and ask them the question, as to why its Black.

Even Liquorice juice is not black.

Liquid does have a shelf life, so it is possible that its out of date, or if it has a rubber tip to the dropper, (should it have one) that could have corroded and tainted the juice.

When you mix PG or VG with nicotine, it remains clear, however, when the flavouring is added, it can cause a reaction and although all ingredients are clear, you can get a colour reaction, which is usually a pale gold, as seen with many Chinese Juices, or Pink, but Black........no way.

Whoa really? It's not a chinese juice, it's a juice from DIYflavorshack, the butterscotch, it was actually a freebie but when I got it, it was already black. I would imagine butterscotch juice would be either clear or a ... erm... butterscotch color (yellow/tannish)

Thanks for the info... I will not use it (which I had already decided before this thread anyway)

Xanax, yes ring them, as some other vapers have mentioned you can get darker liquids, such as Chocolate, or even some types of Coffee, but all are based on the Golden shades, so you have light Gold to dark Gold, but Black, no way..

Black Walnut, if I remember correctly is one of the darkest I have seen.

Vanilla, comes under the Golden shades. And remember, if juice comes in contact with UV light, it effects the colour.

Juices have a shelf of two years, or so we are told, I havent been vaping long enough to test that out..lol

The golden rule is keep it in a dark cool place, out of direct sunlight, but not necessarily a fridge.

Um, that makes me think, I have 2 liquids that are yellowish/brown clear.... Then I have one thats medium brown, still clear but way darker. I stoped using it subconsciously. It's vanilla, is it bad?

Nah, TastyFinger is a very dark brown that you can't see through and there's nothing wrong with it. Just depends on the flavorings I suppose. I have dark brown liquids and clear liquids and everything in between.

But speaking of colors, I have an Amaretto Sour that I've had for like, I dunno.. .6 months? I ordered a new one recently that's like a very light yellow color.. And I was shocked because my older Amaretto Sour is a dark orange color. I just assumed it was because the nic in older one is 36 and the new one is 12. There's nothing wrong with the taste of it. In fact, its the best tasting one out of all that I have because its aged so well.

I assume nicotine content also has something to do with the color? The more nic, the darker? Just a thought.

But to get black.... again.. ew.

I could show you guys a picture but I mean it looks like ink and you'll think so too. There's zero opacity to it. Taste... Ehh not much of it. It smells a little like butterscotch but I mean the only other dark liquid is a choc. Mint liquid. But I can see through it so... Idk

I've boiled tobacco and ended up with water that had the same color characteristics.. The smell was horrible, though. It was so dark that even with a 200W bulb behind it, you could not see any light through it!!

The e-liquid I get out of the Red Dragon cartos is very close to black, too.. I think they're supposed to be 18mg and down.. I also see some small microsand looking particulates in it ... That's not a good thing, is it??

I have no idea really as I never saw this or read about it, but I wouldn't vape it, looks like the microsand could jam your atty/cartos, seems dangerous really.

I had some Toffee, Coffee, Chocolate all together and it was pretty black, but no way close to ink black....I would not use it myself and send a email to the dealer you got it from and ask them why.... Also, on a side note,,,,this flavor I used above,,,,killed my atty in three days...way too much VG in it....
Good Luck and Enjoy...

Can you tell me why VG would kill an atomizer? All my liquid is VG and never had problem with it, didn't use an atomizer long tho, I stuck with cartomizers after 1 week only.

All my liquid comes from bestecig and this is what they say on their website :
1. The composition of E-Liquid ( Atomized Liquid): Vegetable Glycerin, pure water, glycerol, tobacco flavor, nicotine(from tobacco leaf), and so on.
