Why box mods?

I'm seriously looking at box mods for traveling. I tend to spend oodles of time on the road and the Vamo just doesn't travel well in my shirt pocket.
While the MVP has been at the top of my list for my next mod, I think I'll wait for Innokin to release the VTR instead.

For me the biggest thing is that I like the way they feel in my hand. I like the weight (especially the MVP, it's nice and heavy - like I could chuck it across the room if I wanted to and feel quite satisfied lol) and size of it. Not rolling around is also a nice factor - and they travel well in my repurposed cellphone holder for the car.
I think the biggest thing for any of the mods though is that you have to like it - I can't imagine carrying something like a Provari, they're great but just don't suit me at all. Now I can't even use my emergency backup eGo batteries (on the single occasion I've needed to) without feeling like I'm gonna break it.

A box mod stays put and doesn't roll away when you make a turn in your car if you set it down on the passenger seat of your car.
I'm beginning to prefer the form factor of box mods over the tube mod style. Both have their pro's and cons.
My relatively new Vapage VMod-XL, a mechanical bottom feeder with faux burrel wood case and Sagewood glass drip tip. Uses an 18650 battery that lasts me nearly two days and has an inner removeable tank that holds 9 ml of juice. The purest flavor of a drip atty with the convenience of a tank.

I started using an ego twist to see if I wanted to build a VV (I generally use a 5 volt box) and had the same issue, it never felt right in my hand. I was carrying my set-up a spare battery and bottle of juice in a holster when I figured out if I turn the fire button the right way and just bring the whole holster up to my face it finally feels like it should. I have to agree with this - box mods just don't look right to me. In fact, most of them look downright ugly (IMHO). I'm not going to argue that they may be better in some respects but the looks just turn me off.
Exactly what i think about tubes but wasn't going to mention it. To me a tube mod just looks silly and they roll around if they fall over
I've seen some box mods that were virtually works of art.

I would probably kill for a cellphone-like holster I can clip onto my backpack strap and vape from without removing either my Reo or MVP. SOMEONE PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY
What's with the bottom feed thing? You just stick in a bottle of juice and vape away? Do you have to worry about tipping the mod or anything?
I can't speak for the other box mods. With the VMod, you tilt the mod either horizontal or upside down and give the soft plastic juice bottle a squeeze, or squonk. This feeds juice into a juice well at the top of the case. I then do a primer puff on the atomizer which pulls juice into the bottom of the atty. I'm then free to take several vapes until I need to do another squonk to feed the atty more juice.
The VMod comes with 2 proprietary juice bottles, and additional ones are available for a couple of bucks at Vapage.

I've got a billet box, it's definitely a box too. Keeps everything staying put in a pocket, won't roll under things, sturdy, easy to carry, etc.

You don't have to tip a REO. Just push on the bottle when more juice is needed. The REO is solidly constructed and has great customer support to help with anything you want to know about. There is a forum that has helped many people understand what a REO can do to enhance their vaping experience. REO even has a VV mod.
