why can't i post yet in the main forum?

i have 5 posts but can't post yet in the main forum. Does it take a while? I don't want to pester the veterans, i just want to enter a contest.

Always have been a reader and not a doer but this ecf is very helpful in figuring out what to do in this big market. So I am giving it a shot

It usually takes an hour or so for the forum software to update.
