why cant i post yet?

Ive posted more than five times on the new members forum why cant i post anywhere else yet? Its not a big deal i still use the forums. Just some threads i would like to give my input on.

It can take up to an hour after your fifth post for the forum software to update your status, and allow you to post elsewhere.

it took about an hour and a log out then back in for me to be able to post in other areas when I was new.

I hate waiting to post too. That's why I'm posting here. So I can get my post count up. Not that I am very knowledgeable but I'd like to have the luxury of posting where and when I want.
