Why clean cartridges?

What's the point? Is this a health/sanitation issue? Or does it somehow postpone the death of my cartridges?

I know you can clean them to get unwanted liquids/tastes out but other then that is there any reason?

Prolonging life can be one reason. I have heard something before about esters being burnt up and collecting on the cartridge (may need correction). They can produce a gunk that can make it harder on your atomizer. So I would say, for the life, sanitation, getting the best flavours, also switching flavours, and making it feel like new.

Yes, it's to get the taste out of the cartridge as well as prolonging the time that you can use it. Also, don't forget to clean your atomizer as well. Since it's easier to replace the filler material in the cartridge compared to buying a whole new atomizer. Or to even clean it. Some find that it's a chore to go through that process.
