Why do some cartos taste so nasty from the get go?

I've experienced this twice recently, with 2 different kinds of cartos. These are empty cartos that I've filled. The first one will taste the way it's supposed to and the next one tastes all burnt or something. Is the atty bad or something? i get the vapor but I can't handle the taste.

I had the same thing. I had 3 cartos in a row that wouldn't wick right. Just white plastic tasting smoke.

All atomizers have that "break-in" taste. Many vapers know this and simply puff, but don't inhale the first few draws. Depending on the product, there might be some starter juice on the new cartos/attys which may add to such initial flavor.

Are you letting them soak before firing them? It may be all in my head but it seems like I have had much better taste and longer carto life by letting them sit for 10 min or so after the first filling.
