I came into vaping starting at 6 MG and with an IGO-W based setup, now i switched to the slightly more intermediate kayfun lite and one problem i noticed is with both RDA's is that I don't get a throat hit on some ccertain juices? Which to me is my favorite part

It was noticable when i drippedd and when i started using the KFL. Could it be a problem with the the mixture of %'s in the juice ingredients? if thats the case how do i prevent myself from picking up "dead" juices?

Generally nicotine and PG produce throat hit. So increasing those ratios will help although you run the risk of getting nic sick when increasing your nic level in an RDA. I'd try more PG and skip increasing the nicotine. Personally, I'd be happy with zero throat hit. Or try a high VG like Velvet Cloud Vapor that adds distilled water for throat hit.

Your nic is low (which is good but does offer a more mild TH), and you didn't say what pg/vg ratio your using so its hard to answer. But generally more pg or thinned vg though would produce more TH. But I find any vg juice to be very much lacking. Personally I like the throat hit from a 70% pg juice. If you haven't yet, try more PG before upping nic if you don't need to.

Yeah, nicotine and PG content in the liquid are the main factors in throat hit.

Also, and maybe it's just me, but I've found the creamier, custard-y flavors tend to be a touch smoother on the throat than say, a strong citrus flavor.

And one other thing I've noticed is that liquids made with more natural extracts instead of artificial flavorings tend to vape a bit smoother as well.

But I would try just upping the nic and PG in your liquid.

I was under the impression that the distilled water was added to reduce the thickness of the juice, does it do anything for throat hit?

Generally nicotine and PG produce throat hit........................

Actually, PG produces NO throat hit. It simply allows more of the throat hit from nicotine to come through in comparison to VG. Try vaping straight PG as many of us did as a test several years ago. You will get no throat hit at all.

To the OP: The higher the nicotine level the better the throat hit, plain and simple.
