It's normal for the atomizer to heat up a certain amount. The heavier you vape, the warmer it gets. I'm a real heavy vaper and can get the things so hot, I have to let them cool. However, I have heard of instances where a defective atomizer gets hot quickly. Do all your atomizers get hot or just one? batteries can also get hot if they are defective. Try another battery and atomizer to see if anything changes. If it does, you'll know for sure.

I think its the atomizer as I havent actually changed it yet ha! Im not vaping as much as I thought I would and today is my 5th consecutive day with no cigarettes! YEY :D
My 5 Pack of 2.6-2.8 ohm Cartomizers have arrived so I think I should probably switch over to one of them soon :)
But honestly, considering I have been using my Tornado with the same atty for 1 week or more everyday the vape amount/taste is not that bad at all..

Its quite normal for the atty to heat up as the wick inside heats up and turns the liquid into a vapor. So if you are vaping hard or regularly without a brake the atomizer will overheat and there is the potential for performance to dip with an over heated atty. My recommendation would be to take slower longer draws and let the atty rest for a couple of seconds after each inhale. :)

Well, yes.... the atty gets hot. But you said "overheat" ... so... clean the atty.

What happens is that gunk (the official term, I think) builds up in the atty, and you over-vape it to keep it working. Then, next thing you know it "pops" and dead atty.

Best to blow the atty out twice per day... keeps it going. Still have to clean it tho. Day 5... yeah... clean. Try running hot water through it, or any of the 100 other cleaning methods.
