Why does the burnt taste have to be on the exhale??

Maybe it's just me and my wacky tastebuds, but I never know I've taken a burnt hit until the exhale. I wish I knew it was a bad one before I sucked it into my lungs, but no, only after.

Going in, it tastes fine and then exhale---blech!

I usually notice a dry hit is a bit harsher on my throat.
I've caught a few of them that way, and was able to blow them out.

What's better though is when you can detect a drop in flavor on the drag BEFORE the dry hit.
I have pretty good luck with that most of the time.

I guess if I didn't I probably wouldn't be dripping anymore.

You don't really taste anything, even food until you exhale. While your eating something you taste it when you breath out through your nose. It's the same with vaping. I taste nothing when I inhale. The way I tell if I'm going to get a dry hit is it will feel much warmer when I inhale than a normal hit.
