Sometimes it just lights up sitting on the table. Usually happens after taking a hit and putting it down, sometimes it just lights up. It does not seem to be getting hot.

Vandal996--the new batteries have mircophone switches that fire by sound and vibration unlike the old pressure switches that made the connection by the vaccum pressure of the draw--so these new batteries have been coming though way to sensitive---but the problem abates with use and age---IMO they are terrible---Sun
I had a new 801 battery that would spontaneously start flashing while lying on a table in a quiet room with no breeze. A few days later, it died. The LED would still light up on a draw or a blow from the other end but it had no power for the atomizer. The LED wouldn't flash when putting it into the charger and the charger light would stay green. It's returned RMA to the supplier who hasn't had any parts available for two weeks now.
Sun is this in all new 801's or just certain suppliers? If you know, please post, as I am either ordering another 801 or 510, this might be a deciding factor for me as I don't want to ruin anymore atty's & batteries. PLUS this was my red 801! I loved the red one! Hope e-smokey treats has a red battery & atty in stock by the time I hear back from them as to what to do with these.
1. Sometimes it just lights up sitting on the table.
Mine have done that from time to time. These things aren't swiss made. Blow in the hole and clear the liquid. That's solved the problem for me. Most of the time.
2. Usually happens after taking a hit and putting it down,
Probably after topping off or dripping. Liquid in the battery.
3. sometimes it just lights up. It does not seem to be getting hot.
Have you been putting the cart in the atomizer in the correct postion?
The cart has indents that need to be in the correct postion.
What position would that be? Details please. I find no orientation marks on my atomizers.
Ok I'll try... put the atomizer bridge in the north and south postion. Then put the indents in the cartridge in the east and west postion. then put it together. The indents in the cart force the liquid to extract onto the bridge. If the idents are touching the bridge, the liquid will go to the side of the bridge and flood the atomizer....
