Why exactly does a Kanger T3 gurgle?

I can't determine if it's over-wicking (and therefore too much juice flooding the atomizer), or if it's from not enough wick taking up space in the hole left under the silicone cap, which would leave a little gap for juice to sneak in.

I took one of my stock T3 heads apart to clean it, and before I even pulled the metal tube off I could tell the silica wick was falling apart (little pieces coming out, hanging off, stuck to the sides of the base, etc.). I ended up pulling the whole wick out and threading a piece of twisted cotton ball through the existing coil. Put the metal tube & cap back on, reassembled it in the plastic tube, and gave it a minute to soak. Went to vape.... *gurgle*gurgle*gurgle*

Looked really close and it seemed like there was a gap under the silicone cup, like the cotton in the coil isn't taking up enough space. Oh! I should have replaced the flavor wicks, too, to take up some of that space. Take it all apart, blow it out to get juice out of the air tube. Added flavor wicks (2 small pieces of rolled cotton ball). Reassemble, vape. *gurgle*gurgle*gurgle*

Hmmph. Take it apart, blow juice out of air tube. A LOT of juice. Open up the atomizer and the cotton has soaked up a ton of juice. It looks a whole lot wetter than I remember the silica wicks looking. So I take one of the flavor wicks off, make sure the ends of the other one (and the coil wick) are nice and fluffy so there aren't any gaps under the silicone cup. Reassemble. Pray to the vaping gods that I can finally just get it to....

*gurgle*gurgle*gurgle*

...work. Dammit.

So what's going on here? Too much wicking? Not enough wick material? My mad cotton-ball-twisting skillz? For the record, this particular T3 has never leaked from the mouthpiece, and I can usually clear up any random gurgling by holding it horizontal (or almost upside down) for a few vapes, then back to normal and everything's all good.

I have this same problem and posted a similar thread... my experience is... I am using a 510 to 510 adapter and the juice would pool in the adapter when the juice got to be under 1ml. The only thing I can figure is that I can't let the juice get low? I know this isn't much help and may not be the same as your issue... but I wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one out there having gurgling problems.

Thanks for the tip... I actually started out with around 2ml in there when I first put it together with the cotton wick. Then after the gurgling & blowing & reassembling & rinse & repeat, I was down to under 1 ml.

Filled it up to 2.6ml, and the gurgle is pretty much gone (clears up with a couple of upside-down vapes, which is typical). This is with my third setup, a cotton coil wick and one cotton flavor wick. However.... I still don't know what the problem is (was). Would it still have flooded with two wicks (or none) if I had kept it full the whole time? Hmmm.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

i think it has to do with the pressure equalizing in the tank thats why it over wicks when it gets low ive had similar issues with carto tanks but with carto tanks that are slotted i could just slide the tank up enough so the oring cut off the juice flow dont think theres a fix for the kanger with out affecting the flow when its full
