Such wondrous testimonials for the reomizer :) How can i resist it :D

Actually i think the part about resistance is what i need to know about.

Measuring resistance? I don't know where or what it is

We can be your meter. Kanthal wire has a linear relationship with length/resistance. You can tell us what gauge you are using and we can tell you how long of a piece you need to wrap to get really close. For example if we figure you need 1-1/2" of wire to get the resistance you want, you can easily start with a 4" piece and wrap it until you have about 2-1/2" of legs on the coil. You'll be surprised how close we can get like this. I've got some old LavaTubes around, can't remember if they check resistance. If they do I'll send you one to use as a meter.

Thanks, I will let you know when I get my reomizer, I wonder should i try all the different gauge wires that is in the store? Also i will get extra springs and the wick stuff. And some more aw batterys.

Oh yeah, I need to ask what makes a button melt so I don't melt mine!

Without the meter it's best to stay with 30 or 32g wire.

I don't know how the button melts, I'd expect the spring to collapse first. Maybe if somebody stacked batteries and they compressed the spring all the way and were drawing a high current with low resistance or short. Seems like it would be hard to even do on purpose.

definitely get 30 gauge Kanthal! You really don't need no wick, xcept cotton. This kind.

←JK, I use sterile cotton balls

What's your current vape settings? Resistance (ohms) and voltage on your mod?

 IDK

but i am vaping a LR 2.0 510 atty on my Grand and a shorty smoktech 2.0 on the Mini

Somebody said that it happened to them more than once. Of course i am suspicious because the person did not put it in bad reviews or here so that redeyedancer could say how it happened.

So, a Low Resistance 2.0 ohm atty, @ 3.7-4.1 volts (a 3.7 volt battery takes a charge up to 4.2 volts)

definitely, get you some 32 gauge as well. The higher the wire gauge, the thinner the wire. This makes for More Resistance (resisting the flow of electrical current) just like a narrower road allows for less cars/traffic. The 32 gauge will allow you to readily build a 2 ohm setup.

2.0 used to be considered low resistance. For most folks using rebuildable atomizers on mechanical mods (no electronics), its considered medium resistance anymore.

So, if you take your 32g Kanthal resistance wire and wrap it 4 times around a round toothpick (3/32" i've learned), then bring the wire tail around so it points the same direction as the wire tail where you started your wrap (this is called a 4/5 wrap. it oughta be called a 4+ wrap) . . . . . you will have a 2.0 0hm coil, every time. (If it were 1.9 or 2.1Ω, that'd be very much the same). trap the wire ends in the holes on the RM2 (either which in either one, doesn't matter), stuff some cotton in it, and there you go.

Perfect explanation, pdib. More2, it really is just that easy. And reliable....you CAN wrap the same ohms over and over and over.....just find the vape you like and you can replicate it every time. AND......have we mentioned that it costs about 3 CENTS to make a new coil for your RM2 versus $5-$9 DOLLARS for a new atty. AND it vapes better than ANY atty you've ever paid $5-$9 dollars for.....
