why i realized you should not vape at the pump

I have been vaping at the pump thinking that i have no chance of blowing myself up....


I just took the end cap of my xhaler off and was looking at the button randomly. That is when i noticed a dark spot where the button touches to complete the circuit. So i pressed the button and bam a spark happens when the circuit is completed. Now knowing this i would say DO NOT vape AT THE GAS PUMP!

On principal, I wouldn't vape while fueling, but I doubt it is very dangerous. Most fires that occur during refueling are caused by static electricity, where a spark occurs in proximity to gasoline vapors in or very near the tank opening. Unless you stick the end of your PV in the hole, you should be relatively safe.

Again: I wouldn't vape while fueling.

Just saying i wouldnt do it and it does have a chance, a low one but can happen and i did not think it could and figured i would let other people know in case they didnt

Also, the temperature at which nichrome glows orange is way hotter than the flash-point of paper.

because i use full service and they pump my gas for me..

I vape while im sitting in the car tho?

I can usually withstand the urge to vap at the pump for that 4 minutes I'm there. lol

I wouldn't do it just for the fact I'd look like some guy smoking a normal cigg while fueling up.

Thought about it and decided why take the chance. Don't vape at the pump!
