A customer recently asked me why their vape juice is turning dark in the tank. Here are a few reasons I think might be causing this:
- Oxidation: Exposure to air can cause the nicotine in the e-juice to oxidize, leading to a darker color over time.
- Heat: High temperatures from the coil can cause the e-juice to caramelize, which can darken the liquid.
- Residue from Previous E-Juice: Leftover residue from previous e-juice can mix with the new liquid, causing it to darken.
- Coil and Wick Residue: As the coil and wick wear out, they can release tiny particles into the e-juice, leading to discoloration.
- Sweeteners: E-juices with high sweetener content can caramelize and darken faster than those without sweeteners.
