Why is my vapour cold?

I'm thinking that I need to change the carto, but I still get good flavour, decent plumes and am using a newly charged battery. However, my vape has gone from toasty warm to very cool suddenly. If it makes a difference, I'm using Swedish Pastry Plus in a boge LR steel carto, punched with two holes in a tank.

Thoughts?

Did you have a multimeter? Test the carto. Cartos are notorious for going up or down in resistance (some atties too) and can cause what you are describing. A 1.7 going to 2.8.. just means that you bump up the voltage on that VV mod that you may have or may want to get.

No VV on the Bullet, but using the UltraFire 18650 batts.

I don't have a multimeter, but hoping to pick one up next month along with the XTAR WP2 II battery charger.

@Dusty: Only other mod I would like is the VMod XL even if I could just borrow one to try it out for a bit. Yours collecting dust (haha) still? ;-)

For me, some juices produce cold vapor and others don't.... Using the same device.

Boba's comes to mind. Cool vapor on my Stardust/Provari.


I like the cool vapor when exhaling.

It can't collect dust because I keep it nice and clean for somebody on this forum that wants it.. can't remember who it was. Oh well, maybe I'll put it on the classies this weekend and see if I can get rid of it.

Had a little bit of a deja vu moment when I read your post, because I am pretty sure that I've made a comment like that in the past. The thing that sold me on VV, was actually my quest for finding a consistent vape zone. 8.5 - 8.8 watts. There were too many variations in atty/carto configurations and it was messing with my ADV. Going VV let me dial in the exact amount that I needed to achieve my zone.

Hey, if you are getting what you need from staying out of the VV batts/mods, more power to you.

Let us know if you ever find out what was causing your vape quality to suffer.

LOL.. you're still number one on the list. I'm eyeing the VV Reo Grand, and I promise I will sell you the VMod XL as soon as I nab that. Just can't take a chance that I'm left with no bottom feeder backup. Promise!

I believe that would mean the carto is dead. I dropped my provari the other day, and bent the carto. When I bent it back it still worked perfect, tasted perfect, decent vapor, but almost ice cold at any voltage. Craziest thing ever. Went straight in the trash, as I need toasty vapes lol.

I tossed the carto in the garbage and loaded up my last boge. That was my "conclusion".

I have to order more when I get back from a whirlwind weekend of parties. I do have a bunch of horizontal coil cartos, but I have come to the recent realization that I like boges all the way now.
