why is there a limit to how many threads one can create?

I wanted to post an ad in the classifieds to no avail. I cant post in the new members forum either.

Well, the new members forum ceases to be an option at 70 posts, I think, and the classies are only if you are verified or a member for one year, again- I think. You can get verified but the New Members forum is out of reach now.

You can still post a reply in the new members forum, just can't start a new thread there after you reach 70 posts.
