Why "New Member" Forum??

I signed up to look at some pictures from our recent vaping Get-together. Now I cannot even leave a comment!!! Why are new members restricted to New Forum only? I think it is silly!

The rule is to slow down the spammers, but the New user forum is usually the most active one anyway, so there are a lot of veterans posting here too.
