As a new comer, Ive been finally getting around to price checking juices from several different vendors..and, I have to say...WHAT THE HECK Makes one vendor charge $25 for 30ml bottle, and another vendor only charge $10 for the same size bottle, same flavor, same rave reviews???

I started with StrictlyEjuice.com because a friend told me they had the best prices as far as they could find for the Joye510 starter kit....good enough for me. In under 3 weeks, Ive completly shunned cigarettes and will NOT return to them, but my curiosities have gotten ahold of me. Ive read so many great reviews about vendors on these forums that I had to wonder if I am missing out on "the good stuff"...but after checking the juice prices.....I feel like I'd have to be out of my mind to send my business to any vendors OTHER than StrictlyEjuice.

Am I missing something? Do the other vendors actually have a far superior product? And what would make it so superior? Why would anyone CHOOSE to spend $15 more for a bottle of juice?

I realize these questions may sound flip, or smart alec....but I sincerely dont mean it that way....Im literally interested in why people spend more than double the price.:?:

well, you have the
1. non-greedy and you have the greedy.
2. high overhead and low overhead.
3. you have watered down and legit
4. you have target, wal-mart and big lots.

myself I went with Tasty Vapor and Dats.
good selection, good price, and mixing options.

both these guys are reasonable, personable, and received good props throughout threads.

Good Vaping

When I discover a juice that I really like to vape all day every day, it doesn't matter what it costs.
By adding up all I spend on trying new juice and not liking it, it just makes $$$$ sense to only get what I really enjoy.
The same with hardware.
I check the ECF classifieds and I can try the more expensive juices and then focus my $$$ on what I really, really, really like.

STrictlyE is Dekang juice from China, repackaged with a SEJ label. I personally have no problem with it and vape Dekang Hilton. But dekang, for lack of a better word is the 'generic' version of ejuices. Kinda like a generic cig or walmart laundry detergent. Works the same or similiar, low price, what else could you want?

Answer = a whole lot of better quality, vapor and taste, for which, yeah you'll pay more.

Some US manufactorers are considered Lexus class in the juice world. Do you want the Lexus or the VW, which can you afford? (I don't mean you personally, just anyone)

Somewhat of a problem would be Vendors selling Dekang with their own label and still charging higher prices for it.

My personal caveat is determining whether it's worth it paying the additional $5,6,7 shipping costs when other vendors will mail in a cheap bubble envelope and shipping cost is either very low or free. A high shipping cost is an immediate turnoff for me and I will look elsewhere, irregardless of the quality or taste of the juice.

Its also a case of what's a good juice worth to YOU as a consumer.
I dont mind it being cheap n cheerful if I like it, I dont mind it being pricier if the taste reflects quality. If it costs a bundle and I don't like it, I have lots of options of other places to get different types.
Also keep in mind that some places make their $ on hardware so an afford to discount juices and some make their $ off juice only. Some buy in Dekang and re-label (nothing wrong with Dekang btw but it is basic) and some mix up their own concoctions using other flavor bases. Some throw in a ton of freebies, and some offer customer reward programs for repeat buyers. A lot of juice makers are the old 'mom n pop' type stores, run out of cheap business premises; all these factor into costs.
Consumers will (and should) set the market; those that aren't palatable (and then it wouldn't matter how cheap they are, crap in a box with a bow on is still crap) won't find a large amount of buyers.
I like that there is variety - it keeps the whole market fluid and competitive.

I totally agree with your post. Especially regarding shipping costs. I've lost count on how many times I was about to order from even some of my regulars and didn't once I got around to the shipping price. I don't mind paying a five dollar flat rate for instance, if I'm ordering a kit, a lot of hardware or large bottles of juice.

But what if all I need is a drip tip, adapter, or atty., etc.? I refuse to pay such huge rates for something that can be mailed for a couple bucks. I was going to buy a five pack of LR attys. from East Mall today. Until I saw the $15.00 shipping fee. I have ordered from Heaven's Gift but made sure it was a large order. But EM only carries a small inventory. I couldn't even find things to convince myself to buy. So I went to Mad Vapes and bought a 5v pass through instead.

Too many vendors use shipping as a sneaky price bump. You know it when you get the package and it's an envelope or 3.95 USPS flat rate box.

I started with strictlyejuice they were one of my places I bought lqiuid from and I have have tried so many other vendors because some people said it was cheap dekang. So naturally I wanted to see if there was really a difference in the higher price juice and there really wasnt I prefer strictlyejuice over these high priced vendors and have fund so many good flavors that I like that taste a whole lot in dekang from strictlyejuice vs the high price vendors. I like to call it the emporors clothes effect. You pay a high price and suspect you are getting the best when really thats not always the case.

There are lots of differences in the appearance of juices from various vendors as well as the difference in price. For instance, I've ordered USA Mix, a Marlboro flavor from two different vendors and one is a deep orange, thicker liquid. The other vendor supplies a liquid that is more of an orangish yellow. I really can't tell you that one is more flavorful or produces much more vapor, but I wonder why the difference in appearance.

Is it just coloring? Am I getting additives for color in my vape? Or, is it the ingredients that make the color richer? Am I getting watered down juice? Both are PG and the VG is about the same color in both.

I like Decadent Vapours because of the quality of the base nic juice, the quality of the VG and the good strong flavoring. Made in UK by Nick O'Teen who, I think, knows his stuff - I've read every one of his posts here and at the TW forums - and is there is no higher quality of nic ejuice out there - there may be the same high quality but none higher that I'm aware of. On the recent 'which is the best quality ejuice' thread I posted a link on the purity of the nic ejuice. That thread devolved into a subjective 'what is the best tasting ejuice' thing... and for some taste alone is the only criteria and if that's the case, there are much cheaper ejuices out there. I made a big order from DV before they went to TW and now I use his Platinum Ice and Aqueous Glycerin with the flavors to make my own for the flavors I don't already have. Saves lots of money and easy to do.

For us, it's literally a matter of taste. We will buy, regardless of cost, based on quality.

Most of our decisions are based on reviews we've read here - like HALO (at $25 for 30 mL) and VaporStation (partly influenced by the fact that they list their ingredients and customer service is superb - they also ship from a location about an hour away from where we live!). Cost is always an important factor, but read some reviews and take a shot - you don't know what you're missing until you take a leap and try it!
