Why won't my tank get power?

I have a vivi nova mini tank. I was told I may have been sold a generic. I went a while using the same wick, but not THAT Long. The whole tank is fried. I've tried switching wicks, and tried different batteries. Nothing. It just won't do a thing, it's dead.

Anyone know what's going on?

If so, is there a part I can buy so I don't have to replace the entire tank?

Thx

I have the same problem with my Mini Viva Nova from Vision. It's a great clearo - when it works. You need to unscrew the bottom and work the contact out a milimeter or so. It's a pain in the ..... Most clearos have a lower contact that screws in, so a tiny twist with a screwdriver solves the problem easily without having to empty and disassemble the whole thing. Bad design, IMO.

make sure that the wick is as far down as it will go when you put it in.
get a multi-meter. set it on 200 in the Ohm section (Ω)
touch the two leads together and note any reading. (base read)
touch the red lead to the middle post of the device
touch the black lead to the threaded portion of the device.
if you do not get any reading, then the device will not work (no power going around from positive to negative)
if you do get a reading, subtract your base read from that to get the Ohm of your device.

if you get an Ohm measurement:
smaller devices don't work well with higher Ohm measurements (2.5 and higher) - try setting a VV device higher or replacing with a lower Ohm wick
if your reading is below 1.0 then you may not have enough resistance and could be burning out the wick

hope this helps!
