Why wont this forum ever remember me?!

Ok, want to hear a real head scratcher?

Today, for the first time since last June, I was not prompted to login. When I can here to check this thread I was still logged in...

Coincidence?

Oh and the answer to every single question here is:

All of them are irrelevant. Maybe I need to put this in bold:

Every forum I visit (except this one and except today) remembers my login information
There are no settings unique to this site, at least from my end

This exact same thing kept happening to me. I did do the remember me thing and it seems to be working. Sorry this post isn't much help, but I do feel your aggravation.

I wasn't being remembered either, and didn't see a remember me box to check.... one day I mistyped my password and the next window for logging in gave me the remember me box.... then when I logged in from another computer I just mistyped my password on purpose and got the same second window... I am sure that isn't the 'proper' way to do it but works for me...

The remember me box is your friend, but sometimes it's had to find.

Er, um, not to be a trouble maker or anything, but it does the same to me (using FF 4.0.1) and its not my cookies and I have checked the remember me box, but everytime I come here I have to log in again.

Edit: NVM, I had it set to only allow cookies for this forum for the current session *blush*

Hope this helps..... I don't have FF, I use IE.

When you leave the site are you logging out? That was one of my problems... besides not finding the remember me box, big duh on my part .... if I use log out it erases the login info, now I just use the big red X to close the window or just navigate away.

I've left and come back several times. Having only allowed the cookies for the "session" was the problem for me. Removed that, then allow persistant cookie when I logged in and has been working as expected ever since. (I always used the "x" to leave)
