I just returned a MaxiStack because 90% of my cartos didn't seem to work. Now I have a replacement and its so weird, I have a cargo w/ a 3.5 tank that works but I have several others that do nothing. I think they're the same cartos and I have no idea! They all work on my Bolt but not on the maxi. I thought originally it was defective but I got a replacement Maxi and have the same problems.

Best thing to do is to test the carto with a multimeter to check the resistance and to know it works. If it does and is the correct ohms it is a connection problem. It happens a lot, I use a paperclip which i broke in half on the bottom curve. It allows for a better grip on the center post then a straight pin does without having to go too deep into the carto.

That without a doubt sounds like the problem. I doubt anything was actually wrong with the one you sent back, it prob just wasnt making a connection. The center pin on the Bolt def sticks out alittle further than most PVs.
Make sure you dont screw the cartos down too tight on any PV. It only needs to be screwed on enough to make a connection.
Since the Bolt center pin protrudes further out than the RS center pin, if your screwing cartos down on the bolt all the way, its going to push the pin up enough that it then wont make a connection on any PV that has a center pin that doesnt protrude out as much. Pull then out ever so slightly, and dont screw them all the way down on any PV and it should fix the problem

Where you running at 6 volts with a 1.5ohm DC in the tank when the troubles with the cartos occurred? If so, I believe the circuit protection kicked in. If the RS is anything like the Silver Bullet, it will not run the 1.5 DCs at 6v. Protects the mod and keeps from burning up improper cartos and attys.
