Wick Issue

I tried cleaning and dry burning my coils on my bcc. When i took the top wick off to see the coils the top wick kind of went into about 20 pieces. How do you prevent or stop this from happening?

I'm not sure why that would happen... but, I personally would remove the top or "flavor" wick anyway, makes for a better vape in my personal opinion.

Hi Davis

I usually replace the top wick anyway each time I clean. If you don't have any, sterilized cotton will work. You can find tutes on it all over youtube.

Don't even use it? Didn't know you could go without it. Yes i was referring to the flavor wick i guess.

Some don't use it but I get gurgling issues without it.

Thanks for the replies! I'm not sure if the coil is wrapped around silica or not. Can i use it with the coil being wrapped around silica but have a cotton flavor wick?

You absolutely can.

Ok sorry to keep asking questions but what about 100% cotton balls? The kind the wife has don't say sterilized. They say 100% cotton lint free

Boil them first.

Edit: 100% cotton means just that plus dirt, machine oil and anything else that can get in there from making the stuff.
