Wick material

Discovered a great wick material, and cheap!

Parachute cord, either P550 or P50. Both I believe are nylon weave with multi-strand cords run through the center. I don't know about high voltage or high temperature vaping though, nylon may melt.

Just wanted to share, test your setup for melting point(s).
The 428 °F (220 °C) melting point of nylon 6 is lower than the 509 °F (265 °C) melting point of nylon 6,6.

nylon is a type of plastic and i would be hesitant to inhale anything heated off it, regardless of its melting temperature vs operating temperature, but thats just my opinion. if you are looking for cheap wick material, get some natural bamboo thread from a craft store. just boil it for 10-15 minutes, dry and its good to be coiled.

Nylon's a synthetic like silica but is not used in any e-cig product, probably for a reason...probably better to go w/ something natural / organic like cotton, hemp, etc.
