Wicking problems with kayfun v5

Anyone else having problems with dry/burnt hits on their kayfun v5? I've built and wicked a couple times successfully but now I consistently get dry hits even though I prime the wick very well with ejuice. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

The above shows the right position for that oring. however, mine got moved to the lower part blocking the juice flow

Don't feel left out. I shelved mine for having a seemingly non-stop case of dry hit syndrome. [emoji53]

Do you have to use 60/40 or less vg for this atty to work?

I run the SJMY Kayfun v5 and it's amazing. First build with clapton gave me .... load of dry hits(0.7ohms). Then I did simple 2.5ID on ss316L 24AWG A and started to play with turns. 2turns is enough. I use 100VG! No dry hits even on clapton 0.6. Just trim nicely (measure from coil to bottom of juice flow and cut fluff out. And. don't overkill watts I use 20 -25 watts on 0.64.
