I'm pretty new to dripping and using an rda. I've built .3 dual coil, single coil from .5 to 1.5. I'm after flavor more than clouds. I'm using a igo-l with higher ohm single coil builds on my MVP and an igo-w on a stingray with Sony vtc5 or efest 30 amp batteries. And use cotton to wick. My question is this, with the low .5 or so builds I get great vapor production but not as much flavor. I've found a happy spot at around .7 single coil on the igo-w with the mech. When I drip to the unused side and hold it so it flows to the wick I seem to get better flavor than when I drip directly on the cotton. I put the cotton thru the coil and then under. Is there wicking tricks to get more flavor? Different ways to wick etc?

If I want flavor, I vape my VTR; when I want vapor, I vape my RBA. I get pretty good flavor and vapor from the W6 with a modest .30 or .40 quad Nichrome 5 or 6 wrap on a qtip. I personally haven't found any wicking methods that better the flavor, but there are many possibilities to produce the vapor! From what I've found, the lower Ohm you go, the more flavor you sacrifice. If you're looking for a real flavor punch, raise the resistance and keep the PG content a bit higher.

I got plenty of vapor with a .3 build. 24ga kanthal dual coil. It was thick dense vapor but less flavor than my kayfun with a 28ga build 6 wraps with cotton. I'll try the nano dragon build and see how that does. Thanks for the feedback

IMO it's tough to beat the flavor of a Kayfun with any RDA build!

That being said, I get nice juicy flavor and very dense vapor from my RDAs. I usually build dual coils between .2 and .3 ohms using 24ga. They are big coils (5/32") so there is quite a bit more wick involved, and I also make sure that there is no wick between the bottom of each coil and the deck. I'm no scientist (not really, anyway) but I'd guess that the larger amount of wick through the coils and airspace below may contribute to the flavor being above average.

What size airholes are you using on the igo-w? That could factor in as well.

I chase flavor first, vapor second, and it took me a while to find my sweet spot. I'm sure if you keep playing with builds you'll get there soon! By the way, if you want to take a shortcut, get a Quasar RDA. With its reduced chamber it's a flavor machine. I mainly use a Stillare at the moment but the Quasar comes out for my special or complex juices.

I did a dual 28g Nichrome 80 nano dragon on my promethius today... discovered I need about 3 or 4 more air holes. Lol
