I've done several builds on the Orchid, and when I hit a good one, life is good. Right now I'm running 28 gauge, 7 wrap around 3/32 duals, at 0.69 ohms. It's the wicking, however, that I can't really get my mind around. I use fairly high VG liquid, so I'm trying to build this with that in mind. I have seen a couple people who wick for thick liquid by resting the wick on the deck above the juice channels, with no tail extending down the channel. I tried that a couple times and got severe flooding. The air intake holes are on the same level as the deck, so I'm sure that's why. I have tried "trimming" and "sculpting" the wicks to have thin tails, but it takes forever to do. I would like to hear how you're wicking your Orchid to avoid flooding and dry hits. I guess I'm looking for a method that doesn't take half an hour just to do the wicks. Thanks!
