Wide Boar drip tips kinda rant

I just got my vapelyfe in, and good god its hard to get use to, I mean I knew it would be huge but jesus. I can't find this comfortable at all from my kayfun Lite plus v2 drip tip. This is a question though for anyone using these tips be it sub ohming or using it regular. What's the point?
What I mean is the actual hole in the tip is as wide as my kayfun drip tip which is already pretty wide, now I get everyone is different for what's comfortable to them. But I figured this was for a MUCH bigger hole be it for drippers and sub ohming dripping if it has the exact same hole size, just the tip is much wider, whats the benefit? I see the clouders using these giant tips, I figured it'd be because its like a shotgun huge hole to just pull a .... ton of vapor in your lungs.

What's the point? You purchased one, that's the point.

On a side note, maybe it is bored out and tapered off at the top so more volume on the draw?? I know what you mean about the wide bore when it's the same size diameter at the connection. What I usually do with my drip tips is flip it upside down and counterbore the bottom so it funnels in like a TOBH top cap. Don't know if it helps but it works.

I bought one thinking the circumference of the hole would be much bigger. Being that the size of the drip tip itself is massive.

I don't use after market drip tips in my RTAs. I only use them in my RDAs.

What's the point? For me, 2 points actually: 1) wider bore makes it easier to actually drip juice into the tip instead of having to take the top off and 2) moAr air flow!

On he bottom of those I take a counterbore to it to taper airflow up. I see what you mean by the same small diameter.

If you want a real wide bore I think I saw a derlin one and it is press fitted into the top with no o-rings.

It may be that the larger drip tips don't heat up as fast when sub ohming.

I bought the same one, very disappointed in the inner circumference. I tried drilling it out and chose too large of a bit, so it snapped off at the first o-ring in the SS portion. Now I have just a really short clear drip tip... worthless.... lol

I gotta say though, might not be comfortable but worth a shot. But its looks BEAST on my Kayfun. Picture came out blured a bit but I'm sure you get it.

sigh, I'm getting more pull and vapor out of the Kayfun drip tip then the wide bore. Has to be some reason why its always seen on high end drippers. I get the dripping might be easier. But eh, maybe someone that hits the clouds hard can tell me I don't know.

i just think they look hella cool.. and they look esp crazy on 14500 mods. but they also serve a purpose: the width prevents me from accidentally bumping the metal tips onto expensive dental work.

Not for me. Since I'm using it on a Kayfun it doesn't work the same as a RDA. i can make a cloud cover my 25'' monitor can't see it over the wide bore I have. My lips can't get a grip on it with it just being straight out, so for dripping I guess I can see it for just sucking in from the cotton directly, over sucking through a chimney in the kayfun.

I use the wide bore rocket science drip tips. Took about a day to get used to but now I won't use anything else unless I'm vaping on my epipe mod.

Also i have noticed on the wide bore drip tips that juice doesnt creep up over time when used on a dripper.

Exactly! Wide bore tips are not made for RTAs. They are made to use with RDAs. And there in lies the point my friend.

Dude look how crazy it looks with the full installation of the drip tip lol! Yeah I'm going to just save it when I get a RDA so I can hit it like a champ!

here's a tip that has an average sized O.D. but is about big an I.D. as you can get. a little pricey but i like mine. about the same same airflow as a McD's straw.
