Wierd outcome Need Help Please!!

So I decided to start mixing my own last week and so far the outcome has been less than mediocre...

heres what im using:
100mg/mL nic (50/50)
perfumers apprentice DK & tiramisu
USP PG/VG

aiming for 5mL 18mg/mL

with this recipie:
.9mL nic
2.6mL PG/VG (70/30 vg cut half with 150pga)
1.5mL flavoring

I havent been able to get a throat hit using the calculators...so in desperation I used 4mL tiramisu thinking since its mainly PG anyway and .9 mL nic....worked GREAT....this seems strange....
and i dont want to go through just flavor...

any chance the 50/50 might have been a bad idea maybe go full PG?

any Ideas?? additions?? adjustments??

frustrated using all my supplies please help!

I would think that using that much pga would definitely give you a TH. I'm sure someone else can pipe in hear on this to help you more.

Wow flavor is high. I have found an 80pg/20vg mix works very well. It transmits flavor much better and provides nice throat hit and good vapor. Lose the PGA.

Try this
.9 ml 50pg/50vg nic
3.5 ml PG
.5 ml flavor

If you have a sweetner (ethyl malto) add 1 or two drops to above

follow up on 50/50 question -- I only by 100mg/ml nic in 100%PG. Since I stated above 80/20 is my target it is much easier to work with nic that is all PG. Makes calcs and dialing in ratios much easier. If someone is on the other end of the spectrum and likes mostly VG I would suggest 100% VG nic.

Tried the suggested mix w/o vg....definitely made progress!!!

Also think your suggestion of the ethyl is a very good one. there is
clearly something missing in the flavor.

My next step is obviously getting new nic. I think it was the 50/50
throwing me off.

I guess my next step is investing in more nic.

That is a good calculator, it is what I use all the time.
