I keep seeing this one pop up. It seems to have lots of options to customize a kit to the best of everything for a great starter.
I'd go with the Twists with the evods.

Look for an Ego or Evod kit. There are many colors available in assorted pastel colors with the feminine user in mind. Perhaps a lower mah battery for size considerations (450-600).
If your wife is not concerned with a variable voltage device, then I recommend the Kanger Evod kit. Low price, the 2 650mah batteries are stylish and color coordinated with the included evod clearos, and creat a sleek, finished appearance. I mention the Evod, because the batteries are regulated at 3.7 volts, unlike the typical unregulated eGos, so the vape remains more consistent.
If however she is looking for a more adjustable vape, the iTaste 3.0 really brings a lot to the table in an eGo-sized form factor.
For a really long lasting, durable, all around mod that still is "purse-friendly", the Innokin MVP 2 is indeed an excellent choice! If she is fashion conscious, they can be found in a variety of more, shall we say "blingy" finishes, or can be adorned with any number of jwraps.
As an earlier respondent noted, I have noticed that the MVP 2 seems to be a favorite mod amongst female vapers (Not that my black MVP 2 is by any means gender-specific!)

Wife loves her MVP. She uses evods, aspire, and mini protanks. yes it has a rough life in her purse.

At the local vape shops in my area, I am surprised at the high number of women sporting the MVP 2. For whatever reason, it does seem popular amongst female vapers.
I started with the itaste vv v3.0 and found it to be very purse friendly, though usually I it in a death grip in my hand. Its great because it has the pass thru charging so she can drop the charger in her purse also and plug it in anywhere.
I like the iTastes, but they are only 800 mah. The SMOK twist 1300 mah will last her longer.

my wife kept trying with ego's, spinners, twist and was happy till I got her a vamo in 18350 mode. Put on a purple wrap and a purple vivinova or a purple dct and she is happy.
My wife had a ego-c twist when she first started, after I got my Provari, she claimed my eVic, so to make it hers, I put a wrap on it. It fits really nice in her purse.

MVP 2 works really well in my purse. I had an Ego C Twist with a mini protank on it that leaked in my purse before... lesson learned.
I think the itaste vv will do know I have to find a small tank for it. That will not leak......
