I'm thinking I might get Volcanos well...Volcano, because its the size of a cigarette. And cheaper.
Am I going to regret not getting a lava tube?
Also, do you think ill be happy sticking with their cartos? Because its just to hard to decide which of the 50 sites to buy different liquids or cartos from. Everyone I ask has a different opinion and I can't throw around money.

If you're afraid of spending money only to find out that you actually HATE vaping, then starting out with something like a volcano (relatively inexpensive) is probably a good idea. However, you WILL be looking to upgrade (sooner rather than later) if it turns out that vaping is for you. If this turns out to be the case, you can always use your volcano as a 'loaner' to help out new folks thinking about trying ecigs.

In the long run, even if you end up investing in more than one starter kit (the volano first, and then something else a short while later), the cost of vaping is inherently much less than analogs over the long term, especially when you factor in future health care costs!

Good luck to you on your journey!

Welcome, KilaKhronik.

Will you be disappointed? I don't know. Don't set yourself up to be disappointed and before you make any final decisions, please be sure to read as many things as you can find on your selection, first. I started with a brand that, although the batteries were good, everything else was not, and they were 30% more expensive. I found my current - and very much favored - brand after getting a PM recommendation from someone that I followed up on. And now, I'm quite happy with what I have and what I spend on them. There are many selections for the "mini" batteries (the ones that look like cigarettes). Do a little bit more research before making the final leap. You sound a little unsure right now.

Are you going to regret not getting a lava tube? Well, if I listen to what I've read or seen posted in video reviews... no, you won't regret that decision, but there again, I am not you. :) However, there are a lot of other big batteries out there which get better publicity and ratings, and you'll get just as many opinions. I have my own favorite.

Proprietary cartos are usually the way we all start. Later on we find what we like as we experiment with refilling and blanks and liquids. It's a learning curve, per se. Take your time, start with prefilled cartos until you are a little more in the arena of what you prefer. Taste is subjective and will change with time as your taste buds wake up again.

Yes, everyone has their own opinions and none of us can afford to just throw money away. Please take some more time and visit the various forums before making your final decision. And then be sure to come back and ask for any help along the way. There are many good people here who can give sound advice. You just need to digest it all and make the best decision you can for you. And don't give up if you find a mistake, there is always a way to fix mistakes. :)

howdy,

How much do you smoke and for how long?
Are you wanting to keep the look and feel of the burning tobacco so you can change the smoking habit . but still feel like a smoker?

Those are things I had to consider before I made a decision.
figure out what will help it work for you then get advice on something that will work for you.

when I saw black long batteries , well I figured I have plenty of cigarette papers so I could always roll it up.

Well that isn't gonna happen.

Monday I will make the switch from tobacco to the e-cig/vaporizer/....

I did try some disposables first just to see if I thought it would work.
Well yes I can stop burning tobacco and still keep my habit reasonably in tact.
down the road I may go for one of those Alien looking devices.

I doubt you will be disappointed if ure getting a Lavatube. I own one myself, had it for a little over 4 weeks now, and I'm loving it. As a newbie, there is a bit of a learning curve with a VV mod but I jumped straight to that from a Greensmoke mini that just wasn't doing the job. I find that I'm getting nearly a full day from a battery (chain vaping at 5 volts) and I own 4 batteries that I rotate, so that's not an issue. I want a Provari but that's not in the budget right now, so I settled for a LT and didn't regret it. I'm using it with a tank setup (Phiniac tank, have a LT tube tank, too) and playing with juices. Great vendors are Mom and Pop's vapor store, my Freedomsmokes, Elixirliquids.com, and a few others. I have only used 2 of the Volcano liquids and didn't like them much, I'm having more luck with the above vendors in finding my "sweet spot"...... Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say you'll be disappointed, but you'll quickly move on.

I started with the cigarette size and they worked. Got me to stop smoking, but after a while I realized I was really, really tired of charging every two hours and switching out carto's/getting dead carto's.

Personally, I'd recommend starting with an eGo and Stardust tank; it's close enough to a cigarette size that you get the 'feel' of repeating that smoking action, but it's large enough that you don't have to carry around 6 of them to last you a day on the road.

Welcome to the forums! My wife uses an e-cigarette (WC), and has for about 1 year. I too want to quit and I have been searching this forum for awhile to determine which path to take. I highly recommend you read some of the sticky post in the New Members Forum. It discusses the usual path people take on the journey. First, do you want to stop analog cigarettes? Second, how bad. Third, after reviewing all the information here (with out your brain exploding), where do you want to begin? I have not purchase one yet, but I probably will tomorrow. I have a store here that sells every thing from the e-cig look a like to the VV (lava tube clones). Don,t set yourself up for failure. Do the research and make an informed decision. That is what I hope to do.

If you're stuck on the cig look alike thing, I suggest you at least get the Magma. It's only slightly bigger, and the battery lasts longer. You've just got to ask yourself what you really want, and what is most important to you. Is it form or function? Do you need something that looks like a cigarette to be successful? Or is a good vapor production going to be what does it for you? These are important questions, so ponder it a while.

Actually! You know what? I have a bunch of the batteries in question. I'll take a pic so you can get a good idea about size.
