On Jan 3rd, my older brother and I quit together after smoking together for about 23 years. I had been using the Envy e cig occasionally for a few months and switched 100% on the 3rd. After alot of investigation, I ordered a eGo on Saturday (seems my Envy may be a bit of a joke and I really want to be done this time!), but it won't be here until Wednesday or Thursday. Sooooo, my Envy died today, caput, notta. And I am freaking just a little. Don't think I can hold off until my eGo gets here. Is it horrible to have a few analogs to make it through??

ok first off, calm down, we got you =)

there might be a PV store where you live. I found out there is one in my town (indianapolis) by looking thru the groups part of this forum and joining my fellow hoosiers...i went into a thread and they were talking about the store here. so if my batt died on me, i could go there...

check and see if there are any members on this forum from your area. somebody might be able to loan you something til yours gets there.

there is another place on this forum where they have a thing called pay it forward....hang on let me go get link/info on that...but am sure an older member can tell you about that.

just hang in there!

I just ordered the eGo today. It is my first try...I have a couple of packs to last me until it gets delivered. Until then I thought of trying chewing tobacco, or other stuff. I didnt know what to do either. But you have been skipping analogs for a few months before the 3rd, so just view this as a few more analogs to get you through to the date your eGo gets delivered. Others on here might disagree, and I am very new to this, but I don't think having a few analog until your eGo gets here will in any way lessen the importance of what you are trying to accomplish. Get the new kit in a few days, and be strong then. :)

Even if you do smoke a few analogs the ones you haven't smoked and the ones you wont smoke when you get your gear in order are the ones that really count. My wife and I had a major equipment failure right after we started and ended up smoking for a few days until our replacement charger appeared. You wanna talk about mail carrier stalking, LOL we were probably moments from getting an order of protection served.

oh they sell PV's in gas stations in some places!

I think most murphy oil stations carry them. The WalMart gas stations...
Edit: and If I had known that during our "hours of darkness" we wouldn't have smoked any analogs- by then we started getting our tastebuds back and oh man were those analogs NASTY.

I can't think of one post I've ever read on this forum, eyegirl, that has ever condemned a person for backsliding or smoking until they get the combination of device, delivery, flavor and nic content right where they want it. Every cigarette you avoid due to vaping is a victory in my book, whether you quit entirely or not.

No need to panic. If you have some analogs while you're waiting for your eGo to arrive no one could blame you. That's what I would do because there are three times when nobody wants to see me; when I haven't had my morning coffee, when I haven't had my nic fix, and when someone has mistaken my kindness for weakness.

Yeah, I agree with Grandmato5. If you can avoid analogs, more power to you. But it's not worth driving yourself completely insane over. Don't make yourself an invalid because of an equipment failure. It's the device that failed, not you.

I agree with eGo Maniac, he knows what he is talking about. After all, he has been vaping for over 41 years according to his sig!

Okay, I have taken a few deep breaths and calmed down a little. Thank you for the support, it makes me feel MUCH better! I am going to check at a nearby gas station if they have a disposable e-cig. They used to when I bought the Envy, so that would get me through. I will do my best to avoid the analogs, but will not feel like a total loser if I cave and have a few. Thank you again!! It's good to know people have your back!

I'm surprised with everyone's advice on here!!

The girl is in the middle of quitting analogs, and i think its risky business to go back to them, as she will start to think how much more of a buzz they give her compared to vaping (thanks to all those evil chemicals they add!).

Check my previous post eyegirl. Try your hardest to hold out, try nicotine patches, gum, inhalators from your drug store to keep you going!

If there really is no alternative for you, then go to the analogs, but try your hardest not to.. i say!

Getting a cheap-o e-cig from the corner store is an EXCELLENT idea! Good on you for thinking of it! But if you do find yourself needing an analog, don't deny yourself. It'll be worse if you do. You will always find support and answers here, no matter the time or day of the week.

I think the more important thing is that WHEN you have a functioning PV, you have proven to yourself that you can do it. So if you have to have analogs to get through, I don't see as the end of the world. While, I know as long as I can vape, I'll never touch another analog. I also know I would have to go right back to them if I was in your shoes, sad but true.
