I wouldn't start with an Ithaka that's for sure. They're a bit complicated to build.

The trident won't really leak juices unless you overdrip, or if you lay it on its side for an extended time.

If you want an ithaka style atomizer, i'd suggest getting a kayfun instead, they're much easier to build, and they're better anyway.

Yeah the Russian rba (kayfun copy) is an outstanding and easy to build atomizer. I am on my 2nd coil build and am blown away. Did a SS mesh and Silica wick combo, and am truly amazed at the performance. both coils I've built have worked on the first attempt, and this the first time I tried my hand at coil builds. Generally the Russian doesn't leak unless it's low on juice and laying on it's side with one of the inner channels not submerged in fluid. Then juice can flood into the atomizer chamber and seep out the side air hole. But it will never leak on top of you battery mod, since the intake is on the side of the base.

Welcome!

Advice:
Buy a multimeter, FIRST.

If you can rebuild a nova/PT head...you are on your way....
Consider that if it has an air hole...it will most likely leak.

Have fun

Yeah, that's the only place my RBA leaks. I take care to align the coil/air-hole/mod so that when I set it down the hole points up. That's all.

A better design would be to have the air hole be a metal tube supply air from the top-near-center to the bottom plate area. So check designs.

Other possible leak areas are around the seals/threads or out the bottom stem if it's an air supply (totally varies by design). Also center posts are insulated from the rest of the device, so they have some form of gasket/washer/insulator that can melt. But that introduces other issues besides leaks too...like shorts.

Agreed. The only time my RDA's leak is when I rest my mod on my chest with the air hole down when I'm typing... Like now.

Tried a ithaka, didn't have a wire zapper so I traded it off. Got a kayfun light and love it, will probably order 2 more when their back in stock.

How can you tell someone walking down the street is a vaper (dripper/RBA user)? He's the one with e-juice all down his front or filling a shirt pocket....
