Hello people, i'm having trouble finding some 18650 batts for my lavatube, will 2 stacked batts work and if so what kind and size? Also, if i do end up finding 18650 for it, does it matter whether it's a nipple top or not?
You can actually use the PANASONIC CGR18650CH IMR Hybrids which are the BEST BATTS in the 18650 class! I believe Carolina Vapes has them for $7.99 with a DOLLAR some for shipping! THEY ARE IN STOCK! I hope this helps?!

I would always use a single battery in any PV if the choice was two or one. You don't want to get into the reverse charge meltdown that can happen when you inadvertently install one weak battery with a good one. If you decide to use a two battery configuration, always check them with a voltmeter before installing them. They should match with a few tenths of a volt.

VERY well stated! SAFETY is ALWAYS a MUST and is ALWAYS FIRST!

I mean you probably could stack a couple batteries if they both added up to around 4.2v or so and came out to about 65mm long x 18mm around but it isn't a good idea..I'm sure if you did some research you might be able to find a battery pack with high drain 18650's in it you could pull apart and use..check local RC (that sell remote control cars/planes ect...) stores they may be able to help you ;)

ok, that's what i'll do, thanks crispycritter, actually, i have one in ff tin i built that i removed from a cordless screwdriver, that's a 18650p(flat top) 1500 mah 3.7volt. Would that work? It would probably be cheaper for me to buy another cordless screwdriver and rip it apart for the battery than it would to get a battery shipped.

Just to answer the original question---No, stacked batteries will not work in the Lava- or Vtube. They all use boost regulators and jack up the voltage from a single 3.7 volt battery (like the ProVari), versus the buck regulators that use two stacked 3.7v batteries for 7.4 volts total and then regulate the voltage downward from there (BuzzPro/iPro, Smoktech Vmax).

And, yes, the Pannys are terrific!
