Will the nano conversion make my Kayfun Lite fit my VTR without cutting the band off the VTR?

Pretty sure the nano kit for the kayfuns just make it's overall height less. The base will still be the same width and won't fit through the vtr. You could always try and a mini kayfun or similar. Good luck!
The only part of the VTR that is too small in diameter is the top, under the ring. The kayfun lite does fit in the lower part just fine, I've tried it. I'm thinking that I can slide it in from the underside of the ring, then screw it on to the base.

IIRC the the tank ring on the VTR is 19mm, the Kayfun is 22mm. So the only way you'll run a KF on you VTR is by using the "vape pole" that came with it.
I got a mini kit for my wife's KF. It leaked. So the mini kit may not be the answer either. YRMV, Good Luck

I hear ya, I have been debating removing the ring on mine. If I wanted the profile of the VTR with the dam extension in it, I certainly would not have bought the VTR.
The thing to do is get a parts mod. So the question for me is, cut it off and look for a replacement top? or just wait till I find one? or cut it off and live with it.

I'll measure my KFL with a Nano kit when I get home from work later today if no one beats me to it.

Are you talking about a replacement top for the VTR? I thought about that but it appears that the top holds the display screen and would likely cost as much as a whole new VTR?
Also, is that a kyojin on your VTR in the avatar? I have one and think it's great.

No, that's a regular 2.5 AeroTank.
Someplace I have a link for the complete teardown of the VTR which made me think it was possible to just replace the top. I will look for it later and post it if/when I find it.

I didn't know that the ring was 19mm. That cuts out a lot of tanks. I don't think I have any smaller than 22mm. Being a box MoD guy, it was a consideration. Oh-well.
