I am ready to order new carto's, however I'm not sure these would work or not, or if I should just stick with what I'm using. I have a Riva 510, but with the cone I am worried that these carto's might be too short. The ones I currently have are the longer versions. Here's a link to the ones I am considering. Thanks!

Thanks again for the advice guys. I almost considered those ceramic ones, but I would have to use the same flavor in those it seemed, so I went with the Boge ones so I could clean them. Until I can find some colored carto's somewhere, or some good way to mark them as to what flavor they are, I think I need to just clean them out. I use a sharpie to write on the condoms as to what flavor I have in them, but it rubs off too easily.

I also ordered 8 different flavors from Gourpet Vapor since they had that 50% off code going on, so I got one at 30ml, one at 15ml and six at 5ml for $35 shipped. Eventually I will look into DIY to save even more money, but since I am still only a bit more than a week into this, I should just stick with what I know so far.

Last night, at Walmart, I bought a package of Avery Color Coding Labels (quantity is 525) for $1.88. Each label is 1/2" x 3/4". They're gonna be perfect to label cartomizers.

I also bought a package of three white plastic, magnetic canister containers for $3.88 at Walmart. They are little plastic boxes measuring 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/4" deep. These are gonna be perfect for carto storage, on my desk and in my coat pocket when I go somewhere.

Both of these products can be found in the office supplies section at Walmart, which now has many more products than they used to carry.

I use the soft cap Boge carto's and they are fine on the eGo with the cone in place, just a little shorter than an atty and cart. If you want it longer just use a drip tip on it.

deback, I use those same labels and they work great. You can write on them if you need to, put the date you started using that carto for instance, or flavor.

Hey viv - not sure if I'm understanding you correctely but cartomizers are not meant to be disassembled for cleaning (maybe you're just pulling our collective leg - lol) - with cartomizers, KR8s or 510s, some people think boiling them is the way to go when they have reached that point (2 to 3 weeks) where they are not wicking as well any more but the atomizer is still firing OK - I don't like boiling and at this point I have quite a few extra cartos and the ones that are ready to be cleaned get hot water through the mouth end, then are blown out from same end and left in water for up to three weeks (rinse, blow out, change water every 2 or 3 days during that period) - So far I've used some cartos after they've been cleaned twice with this method - some will fail and you'll have to toss - hope this helps
Sweet. thanks for the quick reply. I am looking forward to these ones because the ones I have are a PITA to clean out because there's no way to get to the cloth inside without breaking them.

Rolondo - Why do you leave the cartos in water for up to three weeks? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Why aren't you just flushing them with hot tap water (using the children's syringe, plunger, and rubber cone set from Walmart makes this so easy), then using the plunger to push out the excess liquid, and then letting them dry in front of a fan for about 3 or 4 days? Are you refilling waterlogged cartos? You need dry fillers and the e-liquid, so air can flow through the filler to be able to vape them properly and get good flavor, vapor, and throat hits. Are you vaping water with your juice? Not good at all...

deback,

I am loving the little boxes for carto storage/transporting! Thanks for sharing that tip, I will be getting some of those myself. eGo should be here today (I hope) so I have to go get some sort of storage box/unit for my juices and stuff to keep them safely tucked away from baby and puppy!
Love your suggestions, keep them coming!

Hi Tracy! Hope you get your eGos today and like them. I don't know which size you ordered.

I used an old floppy disk container (3¼" floppies) to store all the bottles of juice I'll probably never vape (stored in the closet). The juice I'm always vaping now has been poured into a 32 ounce bottle (used to be a concentrated cherry juice bottle), so I didn't need any kind of storage containers for juice. My eGos are all sitting in a glass cup on my desk (mouth ends down). And I'm using some old round margarine containers to store old condoms, mouth caps, and old cartos. The business cards from various suppliers, the prefilled cartridges I'll never use, atomizers I'll rarely use, and some drip tips I'll probably never use are in the small black fliptop cardboard box that came with my 1300mAh eGo kit.

The rest of the supplies (syringes, needles, old stuff that I'll never use) are currently thrown into a small white plastic tray that I bought at Walmart. I'll probably change that at some time in the future, like find a little box to put the stuff in, and will throw away the stuff I'll never use.

Good info deback. I will figure something out for storage that can be locked somehow. I ordered the 1300mAh eGo kit, stainless steel drip tip, and a box of Boge 510 soft cap cartos...just as you suggested and couldn't be happier! =)

Sounds good! Glad you're happy with your setup! If you ever decide to have extra batteries and decide you want shorter batteries, litecigusa.net has 900mAh batteries for $21.95 each and $2 shipping for orders under $75. I've bought four of the 900mAh eGo batteries from that supplier (two were for a friend), and I bought two 900mAh eGo batteries from goodprophets.com for $21.99 each. I also bought two 1000mAh eGo batteries from cignot.com for $24 each (my first two eGo batteries). I really like the length of the 900mAh batteries the best.

Here are the lengths of the eGo batteries:

1300 - 4 3/4"
1000 - 3 3/4"
900 - 3 3/8"
650 - 2 3/4"

By the way, since that morning I responded to your first post, I found out the 1300mAh batteries are made by Bauway and not Joyetech. The buttons on the 650, 900, and 1000 eGos are recessed and plastic. Some people don't like them, but I don't mind them. The 1300 eGo has the rubber button, which some people prefer.
