I was trying to figure out which I'm sensitive to, VG or PG so I ordered 100% of each. The VG doesn't work in cart well as I found out the hard way - and when it finally worked, it produced a burnt taste. Then the PG I ordered...well, the taste is just ucky. So would a 30/70 and a 70/30 both work in a carto? I don't want to order anymore that won't work in it. I use a eGo battery with CE4V2 cart. One eGo says eGo and nothing else. The other says eGo T. Thanks!!

the CE4V2 sounds more like a clearo, does it look like this?

if yes then its a clearo.

Anyway.. whether its a clearo, carto or whatever, they aren't built for any specific vg/pg ratio. Anything will work as long as its thin enough.

If the vg you ordered is made ready to use then its already been thinned out, if not you can make it thinner by adding a bit of water (10% by volume is well enough). PG has no such issues.

Also it sounds like your clearo is just a crappy one, there are thousands of versions of CE4/5 out there, the vast majority of them are crap. I recommend getting a better atty, something like a iclear 16 should do for the beginning. And get replacement heads since even the more reliable atty brands can have defective coils sometimes.

And finally, yea you can mix them however you like but its probably not the best idea for figuring out your intolerances.

Thanks! I have to pick up some distilled water then I guess and do you add to bottle? Or do you add to the clearo when filling? Yes, mine looks like that...clearo then I guess. I love the taste of the 100% VG I got from Heathers, but too thick for my clearo. Some of them are probably junk...came from local cheap tobacco store. The others feel more sturdy, from Stratomyst. I tried both and just too thick to even get that crackle sound you get when you push the blue button. I hope it's ok to mention these online vendors...I've seen them mentioned here so I think it's ok.

The reason why professional juice companies use distilled water is to avoid minerals. If an atty were subjected to enough tap water it would clog up, sorta like coffee machines or dishwashers eventually do (if not cleaned). However, clearos will definitely die from other causes well before this becomes a problem so feel free to just use tap.

Clearo or bottle - i'd prefer bottle since it needs to be mixed well before it touches the wick (nothing tragic will happen, just inconvenience).

Thank you hazarada! So now off to figure out how to get the spout off the bottle. I do have filtered water that comes from my refrigerator. Would that be better? To put in your bottle...can you just suction it in rather than take the spout off? I really don't want to get it all over me and I'm just stupid enough to do that! I have SO SO much to learn.

Most flavours you will buy are mixed with PG, so if you only add pg to them - you will have a 100% pg mix and that is thin enough to work in anything.

VG is much thicker and the reason you get a burned taste is because its 'gloopy' nature makes it slow to wick. You will have to thin that with water. If you are testing for sensitivity as well as which you prefer, then i'd just fill a tank at a time.

If you are testing for a severe allergic reaction to one or the other, then maybe that's a bad idea!

You should be able to just pop the dripper tip off your eliquid bottle using your thumb. Use a paper towel around the bottle and tip if you are leery about getting eliquid on you. It will be easier to measure out if you take the tip off the bottle, rather than trying to suction it in, and you will have a better idea of how much you actually used to get your desired consistency.

Hi Super. It's not really a severe allergic reaction....just some itchiness I noticed with the PG....I think! I couldn't decide if I was really itchy or just nervous about doing it. So I tried the VG and no itch...so far anyway. That's why I'm experimenting with the variety of mixes. Now with the pollen as high as it is in the Ohio Valley....its hard to tell! My allergies are really acting up now....yellow pollen on our deck table already! We were just talking here at the house....the allergies anymore are SO much worse than when we were young. Makes ya wonder what the heck! Dr said many people in this area suffer year round allergies of one kind or another. But as I hear people talk from other parts of the US they suffer too.

Sorry...on a rant about it. But I do remember when we were kids, we didn't have a/c....we slept with the windows open...went outside and played with animals of all sorts. We just didn't have this crap.
