I'm a new modder and really don't know anything about electronics. This tiny switch looks promising to the layman. Will it work?

Pololu Pushbutton Power Switch SV

Specifications
Dimensions: 0.4" x 0.9" x 0.125" (without header pins and pushbutton installed)
Operating voltage: 4.5-20 V (SV version), 2.5-7.0 V (LV version)
Maximum current: 10 A (see MOSFET datasheets)
Weight without included pushbutton: 0.030 oz (0.85 g)
Weight with included pushbutton: 0.035 oz (1.0 g)
Draws very little current in off state (typically under 0.01 μA)

Thanks,
Greg

Well it seems promising if that is what you want to use. If you are going for a 3.7v or variable voltage mod with the low end under 4.5v you will need to use the LV version Pololu - Pololu Pushbutton Power Switch LV You will notice in the specs that this switch is restricted to working within a specific voltage range.

Although to be honest, if you are a "layman" a normal 3A switch would be simpler.

I was just wanting a switch that is smaller than the 3a switches.

You'd need the lower voltage one. Also, that's a latching switch so it probably wouldn't work well as an atomizer trigger, but you could use it as a master power switch. You don't actually need that much electronics to use a tactile or other low current momentary switch to trigger an atomizer. Just need a MOSFET and resistor. You'd have to do some soldering to use that Pololu part anyway so there isn't a whole lot of difference there.
