will trustfire 14500 batteries work in a mad vapes 2xaa box mod with a smoktech dual coil carto tank? i heard the pcb protection kicks in and wont let it fire under 2.0 ohm

You'll be able to get to about 4.3 or 4.4v with the trustfires. You would be a little bit better served with the grey ultrafires getting to about 4.7 or 4.8v -- or, best yet, get some AW 14500s and have no voltage limitations up to 6 + volts.

I have a madvapes VV box and all of the above mentioned batteries. I am not at all fond of the trustfire 14500s (though I do like and use the trustfire 18650s in some tube mods - I just have no use for hte trustfire 14500s)

oh but they will work right? the pcb protection wont kick in and not fire the dual coil carto tanks right? they will fire and everything will work though right?

oh and also im considering the 3.7 v not the 5 volt so i dont know why you would say 4.4 volts unless u mean because of the dual coil cartomizer?

The tank will work fine, but the DCC is nothing to write home about @ 3.7v. There are both long 1.7ohm and 2ohm single coil cartos that work great in that tank.
