We are opening up a new store in downtown Seattle next month, and we want YOUR feedback on this sign (file attached). The sign will be made out of wood to give it a rustic feel.


To enter, tell us how we can improve the sign layout, shapes and objects, and text. We will select a winner to receive a $50 ecigexpress gift card on Friday.

1. I would change the words "the vapor is fine" around to not have to be read upside down...

2. It would be nice if the tip of the ecig lit up so people would know it was not a tobacco one, even from a distance!!

Agree with #1.

As for #2, I'd get rid of the cigarette, abiet electronic, altogether, and while it seems that ship has already sailed, I wouldn't have ecig in the name of the business either. And even if you have to have it as the name of the store (for some reason), I certainly wouldn't have CIGARETTE be the most prominent word on the sign.

I agree with inverting "The vapor is fine" verbiage and making the font on that bigger as well. And perhaps even making the word VAPOR stand out via a slightly larger font and color. Thanks for the contest and good luck with your new store !

Love the look (old-timey hands are perfect) and the wording. I don't know if it is too expensive to do this idea, but I'd love to see a B & M sign where the e-cig actually puffs out rings of real vg vapor. That would be so cool! I think it would also get foot traffic to experience that the vapor does not smell and that it is not real smoke.

definitely change the ecig to look like some basic mod, like an ego with a clearo or something. Something simple but not looking like a cigarette. Also like the idea of turning the "vapor is fine" right side up; easier to read. Good suggestions here, I am just agreeing with a few.... Also maybe remove the word "cigarette" and make it "vapor" or "vape" or something that does not scream cigarette.

I like the pointing hands...they have a real old school sign feel to them. I would suggest making your company name a bigger focus on the sign rather than the product being the main focus. I think that would help with branding yourself! Especially because the letter "I" on ecigexpress looks really cool!

Instead of "Electronic Cigarettes" maybe use "Vapor Shop/Store/Place", etc. I agree with not liking to read upside down and maybe a cool mod or bottle of juice instead of a cigarette.

Instead of a "look a like" or anything similar - Actual "Vapor", either coming from a pair of lips or if possible just from the bottom of the sign . . .

Everyone has great ideas here! I do like the rustic look and the green color there. What if there was a brighter color to go with the green? I do agree with trying to eliminate the word 'cigarette', etc.

I'm late, everyone nailed it already. Flip the line "The Vapor is Fine". You could leave the "cig-a-like" if necessary, but an Ego and clearomizer would help make the distinction.

Add "no smoking" somewhere, some folks still have no idea.

I would Change the color scheme from white on red to white on black or vice versa. It would pop more your sign is comprised of a light color and a dark color the darker your dark color is the more attracting to the eye the light color will be. Because im assuming this is an outdoor sign that will be seen along the walkway to an outdoor strip mall among 10 - 20 other signs.

Just a thought here. Where the words ELECTRONIC CIGARETTES are maybe put Personal Vaporizers. Also where the cig alike is maybe put a sign saying Vaping is where it's at.

Congrats on the new store. Should be a great location. I haven't been downtown in years so not sure how much it has grown there.
