I like the bite and extra carbonation of Barq's, but I remember getting Dad's rootbeer in a blue can from hotel vending machines as a kid, I haven't seen it in years, I use to love that stuff. Thanks again for the contest.

I have very fond memories of A&W restaurants/drive-ins from the 1960s, where the glass mugs were kept in the freezer and the root beer was delivered with a head on it. The mug was so frosty you had to hold it by the handle, but dang that was good stuff! Today, if you can even find one, A&Ws are convenience stores attached to gas stations and their root beer is nothing like "the good old days."

Hey I don't need anything But ter beer! Actually the only beer I drink these days is rootbeer! My last vice was the stinkies and thanks to NT that dragon has been slayed! Clark, you know that Butterbeer wants to hop a plane to Texas! It will be perfect with a rootbeer float from Dairy Queen on a hot Texas day!

I remember the old A&W, friend! Just drive up and roll your window down, LOL. Order into the speaker and in no time flat, a car hop would SKATE to your car with your order and hang the tray of food on your window.
