First..What @Joergl100 said.
Second...The vent holes are on the bottom...lay the device on it's side when charging to minimize heat build-up.

Thanks yeah, I've been doing that, which doesn't seem to make much of a difference, but definitely prudent to let it breathe as much as possible.

Smart design. Put the charge port on the side(?) so people will stand it uprite and cover the vents. Facepalm

Ridiculous, right? The other thing is the vent holes are under the electronic portion as opposed to the battery compartment which is for the most part enclosed. Stupid design. Shame because the mod itself is a brick and works great & I get more mileage from a good 26650 than I did with a Kanger double 18650 mod I had. I can probably take off the cover and punch a few holes in it to make me sleep better.

I don't recall mine ever getting even warm. You may have a defective battery or device.

(my TC100 has only been charged via USB)

Thanks great to hear from someone with the same device. Did you use 26650? My batteries are a little old, they still hold a charge really well, but maybe time to grab a couple new ones.

    Thanks again!

All I've used in mine is 26650's. I can go all day on a single charge. A bit lighter and smaller than the 2x18650 mods. I love the fire bar and big screen. I think the TC100 is highly underrated.

However you do have to be mindful of what build you use. While there can be impressive AH available in 26650's it comes at a steep price - being the voltage sag on medium to high power builds. I generally drive my builds at 25W or less and don't have issues.

The TC100 was my daily driver for months!
