I just received two p 80 . Single battery mods. I mostly got them for me and my wife when we go out. Light in the pocket.
I'm using it now and it seems very nice it's very light but I just wanted to know if anybody had any opinions on this brand. I'm still new to this so I'm not sure which brand beats which brand so what are you guys and ladies think.
Thanks.

By and large it's mostly which model beats which model. There are exceptions, like smok making terrible coils and their finishes on the mods not being very good. But, whenever you buy a mod, it's best to look up the specific model. Just search for it on youtube.

I recall hearing Wismec has had some quality issues, but nothing atrocious - pretty normal stuff. I think the P80 and most of Wismec's line are pretty standard for moderate use.

Plenty of them, but you'd be looking at spending a lot more money. Most of them are more or less 'artisanal' and not brands you would recognize from most shops.

A lot of them are not very new user friendly either.

If I had a friend that used something like a P80 and wanted to upgrade after a couple months to something USA made, I would suggest something like the Ranger: Store |

Made in the USA, made to order, lifetime warranty (I think). Look at the gallery: custom finishes/colours/engravings.

I'm having a lot of internet problems lately. Hurricane Maria blew away my Wi-Fi. So I'm using my 4g which is very slow. I can't watch YouTube takes too long for it to load.

Wow they are expensive. I've got 4 mods they're cheap but I wanted to buy American but that's a lot of money and that machine that you mentioned the Ranger, it says it's assembled in the USA so it's not really American made I guess.

Could Google and/or use the ECF search function up in the rt. hand corner of this page and type in "any mod brand problems" and that should give you a general idea to the reliability of a mod.

Also, general reliability can really be a bit of a game of chance, but also how heavily/how you use your mod. I do know there are lots of folks that like the battery that you are using. If it's working out well for you, you could always get a backup and/or branch out into something different. Tons of different styles/makers/US based/British based (Teslacigs, I think) even Russian makers and etc.

Generally, if a mod is fairly popular you will find a thread dedicated to the topic, wherever it might be. YouTube videos are great for figuring out a mod or tank's features, as far as I'm concerned, for reliability, how well the mod performs, I rely a lot more on general feedback from real life users.

Welcome to ECF, by the way, and congrats on switching to vaping.

I tend to search for "X/Y/Z mod problems" to see how many hits I get. The weakness in that system is certain makes outsell others by many times. For example, the problems with Smok mods bring up unthinkable amounts of internet pages but Smok probably outsell Wismec 10 to 1.
To my knowledge, the only US made stuff is expensive and you really need to be careful as some US companies give the impression all they sell is US made whereas their mods are rebranded Chinese makes like Eleaf. They are very bad at confusing newbies. Personally, I find it unacceptable; this is how nasty brands charge $100 for a $29.99 e-cig. Be careful.

Hello and welcome! :) We have met already, kind of, over adult children. . Lol

So, I've never personally used Wismec, but I bought the rx200 for my son when he expressed interest in vaping at a little higher wattages than the first gear I had him try..

That model had good reviews, and I was able to pick one up for 20.00 on clearance so I got it for him... it's been his daily driver ever since and he's had no difficulty from it.

But like the first poster pointed out, with vape gear it's model to model with many products. .. when you get into the brands which can do no wrong, you ARE getting into higher price points and specialty items.

VapeAMP (Vaping American Made Products) has regulated squonkers for a lower price because they are importing the board... it kind of takes it away from being American made to a degree, but it's worth a shot for the price as the company is good... they mostly make mechanical mods so this new squonker they have is a bit outside their wheelhouse - but they are selling them... lots of them.

Featured – vapeampstore

Reo (another American company) makes squonkers - mechanical

HOH has a few things, also American made

House of Hybrids

Provape closed, but if you can pick up a provari or a radius they are worth it.. (its nearly all I own.. lol)

Other than that you have a few others who sell mainly through Facebook etc and are pricier and more specialized in nature. One a few months back was wanting 600 (yes, that's dollars) for a mod... pretty though.

But if you want American made, you have to seek it out...
